Introducing Trap17.net! Ad supported Free Web Hosting!

[ Trap17.COM and Trap17.NET are 2 Completely Diffrent Sites providing DIFFRENT type of Free Hosting Scheme ]

Xisto Corporation is proud to announce new member in its Web Hosting family, Trap17.net. Trap17.com and Trap17.net will be diffrent from each other.

Ever since we started Trap17.com, We were observing our traffic and saw Quite a large population of people returning back from main page which clearly expressed they were looking out for hosting without spending time as well as money. Well, Trap17.net will be launched targetted especially for this group.

Every account will have a banner Ad on top and text link at the bottom. And to save server resources and handle any unexpected no. of signups, Email will be disabled. Owing to the fact that, only a small no. of people actually use emails like username@site.trap17.com. And with pop services being provided free like major companies like Gmail, Its no use keeping it running and wasting precious space and bandwidth.

On the other hand, Trap17.com will continue providing its ADVANCED free web hosting service without banners for its community members.

Sincerely,

The Management Team.
Xisto Corporation.

Perhaps it's too early to ask this question but is TRAP17.net still under the same TOS as TRAP17.com? Meaning, only one account either TRAP17.com OR TRAP17.net per person/per user? The same requirement for TRAP17.com free web hosting--post to maintain free web hosting?

Thanks.

I think when Opa said that he wanted to start a company for people you want hosting without spending time or money, he meant that you would not be required to post.

That's nice to know, finally we're getting what we want without wasting time, but hey, I kinda like the forums, and the only reason I came to Trap17.com was not to have ads on my site. If I go to the new one, I'd lose my sole purpose for coming here. happy.gif But then again, some people might really need it, and that's probably good news for them! Hooray for Trap17.net!

Excellent job OpaQue, expanding the options for those looking for free website hosting. Although I'm here to stay at Trap17.com, membership at Trap17.net will surely be plentiful. Great stuff, and hope for more success for you down the road smile.gif

I agree that it's a good step to also include free hosting that doesn't require any posting or anything like that

Very nice! I hope that you will solve allot of problems and gain more users at the same time with Trap17.net! I suppose that many people come to Trap17.com looking for free web hosting, register and start to spam the forums, or copy & paste articles from other sites because they can't wait to “dig in” into their new hosting account, which degrades the quality of the Trap17.com forums. This step will probably give them a very good alternative, and they will be able to get it in just a few mouse clicks! If the Trap17 staff keeps an eye out for abuse, inactive or multiple accounts (just like on Trap17.com), everybody will get a big piece of the cake! Go for it!

By the way... What kind of ads are we talking about? Google AdSense banners, or something else?

PS: The Trap17.net accounts will be hosted on separate servers, right? unsure.gif

bureX: from what I saw, they are banner ads, like the ones here on the forums, along with a computing host advertisement.

This is going to be an awesome alternative for the users that don't want to use time up on the forums, and it will bring in more revenue as well as more users to computing host. There is also going to be an option to upgrade to adless hosting, with more space and bandwidth, which may bring in some extra money too wink.gif.

The users get FTP access as well, which is awesome in my opinion, because on most 3 step free hosting programs, you have to use an uploader for all of your files.

This is a very, very nice program, and may end up being a competitor with geocities, and other ad-supported webhosts.
