Hi,
I have just registered on trap17.net for website hosting. My subdomain is solanky.trap17.net but I want to host it on my domain that is owned by me. But I have see no option for it on trap17.net. Please tell me what to do in this regard. I want only free hosting ( Banner supported on trap17.net). But on signup page there is no option for entering domain name, there is only one option for subdomain. And now I have already registered for solanky.trap17.net than how can I change it, or I have to delete it and register for a new account once again. I have tried to delete my account on account manager but there is some problem with it. Thanks in advance. This post has been edited by BuffaloHELP: Feb 7 2006, 05:38 PM |

Trap17 dot NET account is instant, ad supported and no post required hosting service. Therefore, features that Trap17 dot NET offers are very limited, including using it as domain hosting service. You cannot change the subdomain to domain name, add or park a domain name.

But on the trap17.net home page it has been written in the hosting features that there is both type of hosting sub-domain and domain hosting. So I think I should get it. Please clarify???? |

Your post http://www.trap17.com/forums/index.php?s=&...ndpost&p=227286 shows that you tried to enter as solanky.in.trap17.net. This means that in.trap17.net is your account and solanky as your add-on domain. Trap17 dot NET cannot have add-on domain. solanky.trap17.net is your Sub-domain and domain means you purchased .com, .net, .info etc names and trying to associate with Trap17 dot NET's hosting space. Hence it gave you an error
QUOTE Must be in this format: name.domain.tld TLD means Top Level Domain.

But I have got that error because Opaque has posted that we can have domain name hosting that's I have tried that. my domain is solanky.in if you know tell me how i will enter it in that box. And offcourse I am well aware of the term TLD and all other computers stuff. |
