Directv has now went mobile. For a mere $2295.00 you too can have a Trackvision A5 receiver and antenna installed in your vehicle. The company reports that subscription for the mobile service (Directv's Total Choice Mobile Package) is only $4.99 per month for existing Directv customers. For more details, visit the company's website www.kvh.com. It is also reported that Humax is going to offer a Directv mobile personal media player called the istation. It has a 4" screen and a 20 GB hard drive that allows you to download shows straight from your Directv DVR. Some of Directv's plans for these type units include $0.99 cent downloads of commercial free shows. You can see the Humax istation at www.engadget.com. Looks like the future of total diversity in the mobile field is coming strong, but will this ever be mainstream? I don't know, but I'll keep watching!
