Hi, if I were to swich to computinghost for paid hosting, can they transfer all my settings and files and databases from trap17 to computinghost, or do I have to do it myself?
Thanks |

You can perform the migration of files yourself. Your individual files and relative links must be changed if you used, for example,
HTML <a href="http://www.yoursite.whatever/directory/file"> instead of HTML <a href="directory/file"> those need to be changed to new hosting server's address (computinghost.com). Database can be backed up and downloaded as compressed file. Then uploaded and uncompressed using your cPanel or database manager. It would also be easier if you have exact copies of your page files in your local drive as well. You can then zip all of them and upload it as one single file, use cPanel to unzip and you're done. |

well, I would like to add more to it.
OpaQue can help you in migration of the files..You'll have to register the things at computing host first and then later you can ask him to help you in the migration! |

Please ADD in the NOTES section that you are migrating from Trap17.
Put in your profile link, cpanel username and web site name. |

ok, thanks. The one thing that I do have to do is re-set up my domain name, so instead of a parked domain it is my main domain. Should I put that in the notes section too, or do I set it up with application?
