Why don't you people just try to create a script that can check the presence of your proposed adverts on each member site!
This way you can let the users to customize the text-links (but I'd recommend images) and merge them more seemlesingly in their sites. Make them to download the source code from the control panel. Let the script check each and every site as a cron job. if not found then warn them or you can even delete their accounts automatically. What do you say? I would recommend this topic only for mods and admin no members they will make this thread junk! May be I can help you people with that! |

It sounds like a decent idea but I think it'd be more of a hassle and people will try and hack their way around it by hiding the advertisement but have the code there so that the search for the link will still be found and their accounts won't be deleted. If they don't want an advertisement they can come over here to Trap and post a little bit or pay a little money at a place like ComputingHost.

Well "auto ad placing" scripts often ruin PHP Code and can cause trouble.
Let's hope ( I run a script with needs a single INDEX.PHP to be designed (in other words, webSpell) and i can simply add the links to / whatever on the bottom and it'll ALWAYS appear there no matter what site is loaded. But I haven't been approved yet |
