The future of internet browsing is here!

I installed this about 4 hours ago & havnt been able to leave it since. Basically, you install the extension, select what kind of sites you like, & click the 'stumble' button in your toolbar.

It is highly addictive, I seen things that id never dream of looking for before, all utterly brilliant. If you find something you dont like, click the thumbs down button & similar sites will never bother you again.

To give you an idea of some of the things I come across, check these out:

http://www.everyvideogame.com/ (you name it, its here)

http://www.kingofdefenders.com/ (funny John Terry game, worth looking at to see the cartoon Sven)

http://www.wheredidthetimego.com/ (Tells you how you have wasted your life so far)

http://www.merzo.net/ (every sci-fi spaceship imaginable, side by side & to scale - a bit geeky but interesting anyway)

http://www.channelchooser.com/ (free tv channels online)

http://svt.se/hogafflahage/hogafflaHage_si...or/hestekor.swf (weird but funny singing horse thing)

http://www.changar.com/archives/go.html (mad rabbit that clings onto your cursor)

http://www.typorganism.com/asciiomatic/ (convert any jpeg into an ascii image)

http://www.thebestlegaladvice.com/ (strange one this - nothing to do with law, but if you like 80s music this is for you. 1500 free music videos from the decade taste forgot. Utter class)

That is just a small selection, I recommend you install this & go find your own internet nirvana.

Ya there is a topic on here a while back. I used this feature probably 6 months ago and it gave me entertainment. I used it when I was bored but I got rid of it. I did find a few useful sites and I'll probably go back to using it again if I'm ever bored but school is starting and I gotta long road ahead so I passed it on to my sister. She continues to use it in fact she downloaded it again yesterday. I only used it for a few weeks. Have fun though.

By the way make sure to quote a list of links.

I dont know if theres a topic on this sometime back, some may say there was. But using this sometime back, it is indeed addictive, but like many addictive programs/games, many get bored (mind you I did as well) with it and get rid of it. It's fun though, but I'll wont be using it for a while unless if i'm really really bored or something.

It sounds kind of like Pandora (www.pandora.com), is it? I never thought of applying that kind of system to websites. Maybe someone could do it with video games or even books.

I havnt been able to leave it alone since I installed it. Now I have it set with my preferences I only see stuff im interested in. You find yourself clicking the button just one more time to see what appears...

I just added Trap17 to the Stumble database, so with a bit of luck the site should get some visitors they would never normally see.

StumbleUpon is a fairly sweet extension, and for me it was one of those thing that when you hear about it you wonder why noone has tried it before. Everything about the service is good, least of all the original idea. This is the first thing I install on a new Firefox installation and has served me well during the long boring hours when nothing happens. I must admit though I have began to lose some interest in it as of late but thats to be expected, certainly in the first few weeks or so this extension will help anyone to find stuff they didn't even know was out there (like the time it found me www.howtofoldashirt.com, I'm now a master at that by the way).

It's a really good way to kill time.. I've had it installed on Firefox forever. I dont use it often, but when I get in the mood, I can sit there and surf through sites for hours.. you just can't stop XD

And yeah, Bee, it's sort of like Pandora.. actually, I found that site, Pandora, using StumbleUpon, once upon a time.. XD
