I have ran into this issue; Strict XHTML 1.0 does not support target atribute... so what should i do? How will i use _blank pages with my stuff?

funny i found a few websites that actually talk about it and the common answer as to do with that javascript has to be enabled or something like that one person posted this code
CODE <a href="javascript:" onclick="parent.location='mypage.php'">Go to my page!</a> that my solve your answer since it is the most common one i have found. try the javascript and see how it works out for you. |

Alright, it actually did help, it says you cant have a way to actually make a pop up with strict xhtml, but i just dont want to believe it:P
Thanks a lot! that script is really fancy, though i'd like to avoid as much as i can the use of java script, ill just have to stick with this one... so is it true? cant it be done (any other succesful way to add this behaviour withat js)? I have always thought that links that go to external pages should come up in a new window (or tab, for that matter), becouse is not the same server or website, and people gets confused, thinking it did come up in a new window, and thinking that closing it will restore to the past site... But thanks again! |

pleasure doing business i know people trying to get away from javascript but i think they programmed it that way so it can stay for ever and ever or soemthing like that.
