Stationripper can be downloaded from ZdNet here:
http://www.zdnet.com.au/downloads/0,390244...9067112s,00.htm It involves picking up to 2 stations (more for paying accounts) and if a station is playing anywhere in the world and is streaming the music online you can enter the address and get music from it as well. Just as recording music from radio stations with tapes is legal, so this is legal, since you don't know what songs you're getting and it doesn't involve music sharing. Or at least, doesn't involve a set song or songs being given to a person. StationRipper however does the work for you and records the songs, all you have to do is start the station "ripping" and wait for the songs. Also, it can be minimized as an icon to the bottom right of your screen just by minimizing the window, making it even more convenient. This station has songs so good they seem identical in quality to ones off a CD also, because the sound quality is so good and the spacing between the songs with periods of silence is done well. http://66.80.143.207:8000/ This may be the best source for free legal music on the net. Any thoughts or opinions? |
