I hope this wasn't already posted. I searched the forums for it, but didn't see it... so anway...
I got this from another forum.... We all know how excellent Firefox is... But want it to be even faster? If so, follow the instructions below. 1:- Type about:config in the address field. 2:- Set the value of network.http.pipelining to "true". 3:- Set the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to "100". 4:- Set the value of network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true" 5:- Set the value of nglayout.initialpaint.delay to "0" Line 5 you might notice is not there, don't panic. Just right click anywhere in the config window and choose New+Integer, from there input the text in line 5 (nglayout.initialpaint.delay) and set the delay to 0. There you go. Close Firefox, reopen it, and experience the web at a much faster pace. Enjoy. |

Hmmmm, I followed the steps above and tested them out. Although I don't have any software to measure the speed increase or decrease, I can tell you that it atleast did not slow firefox down any. I might even agree that this helped the speed. Who knows...maybe it makes a substancial differnce for non-high speed connections. I do know that I'm to lazy to go back and change these to recompare speeds lol.
