I should warn you that some of my poetry is written when I am in a bad mood. It seems to help me out. Some of it is written when I am bored. At any rate here are a few poems I was able to wrangle up to share. I do hope you enjoy.


REPLACEMENT PARTS

I live off pills
And sometimes pain
It isn't right
It isn't sane

That's okay
I'm working hard
Shattering myself
Shard by shard

Hold my hand
Hello and goodbye
I'm leaving now
So heave and sigh

Remember now
What you thought was me
I'm killing her off
Slow and invisibly

She smiles a lot
Because she is numb
She lives for others
She's mute and dumb

She has a purpose
Without prose or grace
In time that will be easy
For me to replace

It just hurts
Getting there
But in the end
I will not care

SURFING

Baby
Can you hear the moonlight
Driftin', just driftin' right by?

Can you hear the rooftops
Silently, sweetly, heaving their sigh?

Can you see the shadows I chase?
The shadows in the shades in the wind.........

.................of a moonbeamed place?


Baby
Can you hold me, shelter me warm?
Shut out the violence of this inner storm?

Baby can you slay me the pieces to bit?
Ressurect them and hold them, shine them with grit?

Dulling to bleak and grey
