While browsing the web the other day, I found another leaked theme called Royale Noir. It's a copy of the popular Royale Blue theme that leaked from Microsoft a while ago.

The theme is an exact copy of the blue theme except that this one is black.

Screenshots:

Unfortunately that's as far as a got because personally I think the theme isn't all that appealing in comparison to the one I have now. More screenshots are available here.

The theme comes as a RAR package; in order to extract the package, unless you already have special software, you will need to download a RAR extractor. I recommend ExtractNow (832KB) because I use it.

Download Now
Royale Noir.rar (232 KB)

Enjoy your new Luna Theme!

Actually the Royale theme was not leaked from Microsoft but it was available as download in Automatic Updates. Its the default theme of Windows Media Center PC.

Its a lot more cool than than the default Windows XP theme but not as enticing as the Aero theme of Vista.

This is rather old news. The royale noir leak was available online many months ago.

However, Royale noir was never intended to be released as a final product. thus there are countless bugs and areas which just don't look right.

One example is the start menu, where the green colour dosen't blend in with the entire dark interface.

If you do not mind your windows looking a little glitchy in places, then I suppose you could use royale noir, but using other alternative ms styles should be a better idea.

If you want this theme without the glitches then get the special edition Windows XP Zune theme. It's like noir, but nicer.

I have media center edition for xp in my laptop and that didnt come with it or any update, it must have come in the 05 version of the media center edition, I dont really mind anyway, I keep my computer without the bulky theme, it saves system resources too.

Mister Bac, if you do, consider using the link in my post to the completed version of the theme... after all it's better have one with almost no bugs than an unfinished version biggrin.gif
