RGBLab 2005
The smart and easy colour manager for developers, designers, and other artistic people. http://www.proffs.nu/rgblab.htm http://www.proffs.nu/RGBLab_2005_Setup.exe Description: QUOTE RGBLab runs on Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. You can also run RGBLab on Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003. Windows XP or Windows 2000 is recommended. RGBLab is a unique product and satisfies a simple and basic need. Not only will this freeware program let you pick and mix RGB colours, but it will also let you save RGB colour palettes as text files. As a web designer or developer, you will often find yourself looking for specific RGB colour codes, so you need an easy way to store them. The palettes in the photo editors are not practical for people who just need a simple way to keep track of RGB colour codes. There are some good colour pickers around, but most of them will only let you identify one RGB colour code at a time by pointing at a colour on the screen. A few of these programs will also let you save certain colour settings in some binary file format. In RGBLab, you can save all the RGB colour codes for six different colours in twelve different formats, including a custom format composed by yourself, and you can save all this information in the form of a single text file. Such a text file can later be opened in RGBLab as well as in any text editor. You will have all the different colour codes for HTML, Visual Basic, Access, C++, Delphi, .NET, and Java in one place. NEVER LOOK FOR THAT RGB COLOUR CODE AGAIN! As you can see in the description, this is the best tools to help you develop websites, animations, paints, draws, presentations, whatever, because it helps define the best colors to use in your web projects. I use it since i've started building websites and it helped me a lot as i beleave it will helpe you too. |

But seriously, what's the pro of the software...
It's good to be a freeware however, but we can easily view the color charts on webpages so we don't need any special software... Unless it's something really special that impress us all and do more like automatically creates gradient or whatsoever... |

Go to http://www.sang.trap17.com/apps/GT2.exe to download MY program that creates gradient text that you can copy and paste into your site. It generates the necessary HTML code for you to use. Download http://www.sang.trap17.com/apps/GT2_forum.exe for the program that creates gradient text in to use in Invision Power Boards. |

Hey.. you really did a good job on creating such program..
I was thinking you can further upgrade it with a professional GUI if possible and add more features to your program... What I can suggest is to add an Icon.. because the default vb6 icon su*x.. I believe you should be proud of your projects and make a better impression of its audience like me... You have a "Copy" button.. I suggest you add another "Paste" button to paste original text for rendering.. I also found a bug.. You should set "GO!" button to disable when there is no text written... Because then I clicked "GO!" without typing any text, I got a messagebox stating: Run-Time Error "9": Subscript out of range ... and then the program exits... Other then all these, I'm impressed with your work, seriously... If that was developed on VB.NET, then I will add all the neccessary upgrades to your program and still bears your name... Great job! |
