I want to do reseller plans on my website but i dont know where to sign up for good resellar plan. I want to do web hosting and domain registation, but when i looked up the different options on the web I didn't find any of the plans to fit me because I have to pay monthly or yearly and the profits arn't so great so instaed of making money you loose money and in other plans you need to have more than 40 or more customers to actually make some money and sice my site is new I dont think I will get more than 12. I also am looking if there are companies which will put their templates on my site for sale and will give me some of the profit. If you have or know of anything pleese post me the link to their site and give me a little info on then. THank you.

I have been contemplating the same idea for a very long time and I came to a conclusion that the cheapest reseller plans still cost $50 a month. I have found few places that will give you small reseller account but you have to post few hundreds to be qualified and keep posting required posts per week/month. So, the time, effort and electricity bill costs more than $50 a month. Therefore paying for a reseller's account would be the best, I concluded.

However, this reseller account was on a shared server. So if some other moron's account member screws up so badly that the server needs to be restarted, the entire accounts under that server are affected. The question is would your clients be alright with that? I know mine would not.

And there's another question of how much would you want to profit from this service. Unless you are offering tremendously generous web space and the bandwidth (like 500mb~1gb and 3gb~10gb BW) you have to compete with other $5~$10 a month prices. Even then, OpaQue can offer 2gb and 33gb BW for $3.33 a month. So, is it worth having your own reseller's account? Only if you are willing to take on hundreds of clients and willing to invest initially, knowing that few months later you will see some profit.

Every way I calculate, there's no profit in reseller's account unless I am willing to eat the initial cost and willing to wait. And for 12 or less clients you are better off talking to OpaQue about a shared web hosting plan.

List of services OpaQue is offering:

Domain Name reseller's offer
Simple and fast service
Windows shared account
Dedicated server offer

Well I also have been thinking about starting my own reseller host plan but my parents won't let me and I finally agreed with them. They kept asking me questions like, what if you don't want to be a host any longer, what are you going to do to your customers? after I give them an answer they went on and on. I finally gave up. I figured out that you don't really make any money though at all. You barely break even. I still want to try it out at least but I will have to wait a couple years. Maybe I can someday help Trap17. I don't know. If you are looking for good reseller hosting, try www.hostgator.com They have reseller plans starting at $25 a month. It comes with a lot and they have 24/7 support as well as support on the forums. I might try some of the plans Opaque is offering. Good luck guys.

making money off reseller or web space might be a little hard but if u start by selling or offering free templates people will visit and after a month or so u will have a regular traffic. ANd once you have that you can start offering plans or do something that involves custumers like web desing or advertizing. I prefer templates and webdesign because if you put reseller plans on your site it kind of like gambling because instead of making money you might loose some instead.

If you guys are serious about becoming a reseller you can go here.
http://resellerspanel.com/. The hardest part of becoming a reseller is not getting the cheap reseller accounts, but actually being able to get customers. It is a very competitive market.

This place offers you a FREE reseller account. It offers many features like selling domains and even has an API you can use to check domain availability from your own site. They are charging $4.00 for a domain to resellers. As a reseller, you can set your own pricing.

Other features they include are useful things like credit card processing, paypal payment processing, technical support for your customers (so you don't have to support them), and others.

Finally, you can also use the reseller account to refer people to their hosting and you will get commissions as an affiliate. So, even if you don't actually sell any hosting accounts, you can still make money.

BTW. I am not affiliated with them at all. I don't even have an account with them. I think it will be a lot of work to get established. Will be hard to get customers.
