Hey,
I have decided Qupis is not for me, but I am having trouble getting rid of my hosting acocunt with them and reverting back to the old trap17.com credit-based free addless hosting. I have reset my nameservers to ns1 and ns2 .trap17.com and logged into my cpanel (I left over 24 hours for this to change) but my cpanel still says hosting package is qupis, and sure enough the ads are still present. How can I stop this happening please? I would like to delete my qupis account (how do this?) accountname="jimmy" and any other information required to set up original setup! I have enough credits for hosting and I am still hosted. To setup qupis, I merely redirected my nameservers so surely setting them should would be good.! Thanks James. Don't forget that Domain Name Changes can take 48 to 72 hours... to propagate.

So would you say, simply changing the nameservers back should fix the problem, with no need to delete my hosting account.???? I reckon I left about 48-55 hours for it to change and it was quick (under 5 mins) to switch to qupis, surely thats enough to change back! |

To be quite honest - the time taken to propogate is different all the time. You shouldn't have to do anything but change the name servers back, as long as you're still hosted here. When you change your domain make sure it's changed with your host, and PARK it with yourt Trap17 host. Make sure your files are still in your trap17 host aswell.

As far as I know I have changed the nameservers back. I used "ns1.trap17.com" and "ns2.trap17.com" all lower case... Wait! You know what I just realised... I have been very silly! my hosting with the credit system is not for my usual domain... I changed it to one of your subdomains!!! so as I've been accessing it to try and see if its been changed its still there...! Of course that means I had no files on the domain I've been talking about. one interesting thing is that changing the nameservers back here has not removed the domain site at all... is is still clearly visible up there!!! Sure enough birdland.trap17.com still works... DOH! This post has been edited by Jimmy: Mar 20 2007, 12:47 PM |
