I am currently working on my ongoing comic book and manga project called “Project: Anything Goes”. It showcases original characters, which are insipid and influenced from characters from several comic book, TV, anime, movie, video game and cartoon franchises. I made this project in hopes of attracting other artists and writers to help me with the characters and try to promote them and proposed titles so I can try to get into the comic book business.
Most of my characters featured include manga-style superheroines in western-style costumes. Including popular characters (favorites from my page at DeviantART.com) including Pulsar Pureheart, a female character with Superman-like powers and the ability to transform into alternate forms (she is partly inspired by anime heroine Cutie Honey and Ben 10) and Twilight Warriors, a covert team investigating and preventing supernatural occurrences around the world. Twilight Warriors has combined elements from Final Fantasy and other fantasy and horror titles. My first title in the project is “Harry Hare: Best in the Biz”, a kind of Who Framed Roger Rabbit meets Sailor Moon meets Cowboy Bebop about a former cartoon star running a private investigations/bodyguard agency. Some of his clients include well-famous cartoon stars, but due to legal restrictions, I have to go with original characters. His partners are his duck acting partner, a magical girl stuntwoman, and a former Interpol agent with a dark past. Hopefully I will try to make this my first public title if my project goes through. Another of my titles is “Hong Kong Hyper Police”. It’s Dragonball Z meets CSI with elements from Hong Kong action cinema made famous by Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Chow Yun-Fat. It’s a story of an elite Hong Kong Police unit that deals with crimes committed by a evolved superhuman race called Zeta-Supers. It’s got martial arts action mixed with character humor and drama. I hope to make this my title as well. There are several pages in the site; most of them are going through heavy construction, hence the different layouts, featuring titles with synopsis and related main and supported characters, each with their bios and related artwork. There is a link to two of my online stores and there is also a character menu with some quick and direct access to the character pages themselves. I hope you enjoy my site and hope to get some great feedback. As mentioned before, the site is under heavy reconstruction, so the title pages have different layouts. I have a friend in DeviantART.com working on the redesign of the pages. So be patient and check the “updates” section for the latest news. Here are some examples for my following pages featuring the new layout created from my friend Kalisama from DeviantART.com:
From my site: http://anything-goes.trap17.com/black_blue.html http://anything-goes.trap17.com/boy_brats.html http://anything-goes.trap17.com/pulsar.html http://anything-goes.trap17.com/uc_cuties.html Bullitt's Brigade menu: http://anything-goes.trap17.com/bullitt.html John Bullitt: http://anything-goes.trap17.com/johbul.html Remember, my site in currently under heavy construction. I have to finish the old layout pages before I send them to my contact to retool them to the new layout I've shown you from the above links. Feel free to comment on my site and the new layouts. i like the way you set up your site too.
i like your idea, but the characters seem too similar. i'm looking for them to have some unique identifying characteristic. i am a rabid comic reader and picky anime consumer. i have a friend who is an artist and both she and i are writers. lol, those are my credentials, unless you count the phd in psychology... Nice site. Not to flashy, loads fast and is pact with the necessary information. The artworks are western comics-inspired but there is also a mix of japanese on it. Good ones.
I would love to see how the comics progress. I'm so glad to meet an comic artist. I'm a dojinka so see you here sometimes. I'll also be posting my own manga site but it's still under development and may take a while because of my work. |

I hope to find some good writers and artists to help me on my project. I've currently pitched two of my project titles to Zeros 2 Heroes http://www.zeros2heroes.com/ and I am hoping to make new drafts of my synopsis and character bios. Plus I am adding new character art featuring old and new characters for the project at my DeviantART site. http://dangerman-1973.deviantart.com/ And I am currently drawing character improvements to my existing characters (i.e. new hairstyles) as well as additional art features some characters' abilities and powers as well as action poses. Check the PAG site and my DA site often for updates. And I will try to be more active on the Trap17 forums in orders to keep my site going. I hope more people noticed my site and I hope they will be talented artists and writers and well as comic and anime fans helping me to improve my characters' personalities and abilities, as well as improved synopsis and storylines. I am glad you like my site. Stay tuned as I improved the site layout with the help of my contact in DevianART as well as new character icons. Again thank you for the comment. |
