I'm having some trouble with created FTP accounts, and anonymous FTP. When I try to access one of the created accounts, I get an authentication error. I also can't get files to show up in anonymous FTP (I don't have any in the public_ftp folder right now, but I have had, and it didn't work). Does anyone else have this problem? Please help me. Thanks.

when you create an FTP account, it should be listed as follows:

ftp login url : ftpaccountname.hamtaro.trap17.com
ftp login name: ftpaccountname

it should login like that, also, you need to "add" a user the ftp account that you're making, or else they can't log in.

as for the anoymonus ftp, i think you'll have to make another ftp account, and set the values as "all can access"

Boy do I feel stupid! I DID notice this message in Cpanel, but I guess I misinterpreted it:
QUOTE
When logging into the ftp server please use the username exactly as it appears below. If the username includes a "@", make sure to include it when logging in. Example: Use "john@doe.org" and not "john"

I forgot to add username@hamtaro.trap17.com... I was just using the user name...Makes me fell really dumb! Anyway, thanks for the help.

Hehe...you know how I feel now. Oh, and I FINALLY got the anonymous FTP to work. Guess what the problem was? ...Forgot the @ sign in it, too...I guess the '@' is pretty easy to forget sometimes, when it comes to FTP accounts...
