-Just a intro so far, updates will come-

I am working on starting another website, for a couple reasons.

1. I am back in the mood for one (I can't make one if I don't feel like it.) 2. My close friend asked me too.

So, you may be asking yourselves; What makes this any difference?

Well here here sweet children gather around! I am trying to make this one with tons of flash!! YAY! Flash is such a cool looking thing to have on your site correct?

Basic purpose:
A site for all of the artwork made from said person, in this case this is Sabina. A fan site for her some may say. I am going to have a fun facts page, gallery, news, and all the good stuff. Hopefully I can also catch up on my actionscript to get some comment stuff going on also!

So here is the intro, mind you I am still very much tweeking and working on. The only think NOT made soley by me was the gloom bear( although I did animate it)
http://www.BinaFan.co.nr

Please as always, comment suggestion, BUGS, and anything are more than welcome. Total time spent is about 8 hours.

I suggest you don't make the whole site in flash because search engines won't be able to search for any content in your flash site. Spiders won't be able to retrieve any words that are in your flash site. Good SEO practices require you to have a site consist of mostly HTML.

However, this does not mean you can't have any flash, of course you can. But flash should be used as minimal as possible because it lengthens load time. I know it would look a lot better if it had a lot of animation but from a visitor's point of view, he will not wait 4 minutes or so to load a page just to see small info about a person and his portfolio.

What I'm trying to say is that don't let the graphics overpower the content because the content is what the basically visitor is looking for. Keep the graphics and content at par with each other cuz too much content is also bad.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my new intro,

I know exactly what you mean. The only reason I was considering doing the whole thing is flash is because it is not a professional website, and it would be a good learning experience.

You my have seen my other site as well, if not; http://www.IsArt.co.nr . I mean that is what I tried to do with that one a while back.

but again thanks a lot.

I am almost done with the entire site now.

I have decided to make it all in flash. load times are not a problem.

I will post a reply when it is all done.

Well the site is done folks!

Please tell me what you think of the whole thing!

The only things that aren't up are the images yet, getting those from her tomorrow.

thanks for looking.

Wow!

Who cares if it's not SEO friendly tongue.gif Load time is minimal (at least for me), and it looks great! I didn't care too much for the bear lol, but everything else looks...too good for words!

Hopefully it doesn't load too slow in Dial-up lol.

BTW, your other site looks awesome too, you are good at this smile.gif

Like I said before though, the bear is odd. But, you chose good colors, they all blend in together. Also, why not just dot com it? Was that name already taken?

Thanks!

Yeah, DL aren't too bad for me either, couple secs at most.

The bear is just something I liked to put in there. Added some animation to it, it is her favorite little dude.
Well if anyone uses dial-up I shall slap them.

Thanks, my other site too a little while longer than this one, this one was about two days total.

I didn't .com it because I might abandon it sometime if it doesn't get to many people looking at it. I just make them for exp and fun.

But doesn't the site that gives out .co.nr domains force you to give a link back?

Two days though? You must have been bored, huh? lol

And ya, anyone who uses dial-up..too bad for them. They don't deserve to see your site tongue.gif

Yeah, they say that if you don't link back on the front page they will remove your redirection. I have had my other site up for about 5 months now with no link back and they haven't done anything. There is no way for them to check, they actually go by activity on the sites. And even if they did it wouldn't effect the site at all, all .co.nr does is ghost the url from my host here.

Yeah two days. I really don't like spending as much time on my stuff as that. I am one who likes to get things done. I had to work both days, and help my bro with some stuff. But I ended having plenty of time.

Dial-up...going out with the floppy drives.

haha, I'm surprised they don't enforce the linkback rule. They could use some script to do all the work, but that would take a lot of time to make and manage tongue.gif

I'm the complete opposite though. I watch TV and talk on IM and phone while I work. I'm lazy, but I eventually get it done biggrin.gif

Lol, I love to multi-task also. But the problem comes that if I spend too much time on it I might lose the intrest or vision I had for it. I was IM'ing, playing games, and talking the whole way through making it.

It is there fault for not enforcing it. I wouldn't mind putting it on if they did but it would make it look tacky.
