PHPskye the upcomming forum software.
Stefan Alkaline and I are making a new forum software with some unique features. We currently are still working on the heavy coding. (that includes the layout it sucks) But u are welcome to come and have a look. Remind feedback is allways welcome. We are planning on distrubuting a free and a premium board. Some handy options will be available that no board has so far. U are free to register and have a look around. U allso might notice the different layouts the layout on the mainpage will be the layout the other will be deleted after we finished coding. We will notify all of u when we are finished !!!. www.phpskye.net ----------------_____________---------------- abdalla agamy |

Not to critise but i think PHPskye is not a very advance forum, and yet it still charges for a copy. Unlike the pretty well developed InvisionFree boards and phpBB, just to name a few, they are well developed and many people are already using them at no charges at all, free! There had been many support for their boards as well. Addons and plugins are well established too.
PHPskye interface was pretty disappointing as well. Its pretty much beaten by InvisionFree default skin. There's definately alot to improve from PHPskye. Firstly, make it free so people will try it and the name will become better known. After that, start charging for additional features will not be a big issue. Otherwise there issn't any huge attracting force for people to look into it. |

I would love to tell you what I think about it, but I can't even access your site! From what Inspiron says, I would rather use either Simpleboard for Mambo, or SMF (Simple Machines Forum)

I get:

As a did a search with google I found this post.
I am the owner of phpSkye. First of all: I do not know the guy who posted this thread. Second: QUOTE So I guess this was a fly by night operation? No, It was not. Unfortunaitly phpSkye had a very long delay cause of a server crash. We are currently redoing phpSkye insecret. It was NOT a advanched forum back then. I actually admit that it was pretty crap. But while the downtime accured we started to do other projects. Which did not came without succes. The profit we are making right now is pretty nice. Enough to restart phpSkye, this time with money as a powerfull tool. All projects we have are under one Group/Company. http://skye.po.gs And all information about the progress of phpSkye can be found there. Anyone interested it free to join. |
