I cam across this tool while searching for PHP IDE's.

The phpide is a free PHP IDE (Integrated Development Environment).

The phpide supports multiple document interface(MDI), that means you can work with multiple files at the same time.

The phpide is one of the fast loading php IDE. It features full PHP and HTML syntax highlighting, automatic code completion for PHP, integrated preview, Lists all class members of a class-variable and displays function parameters, and more features.

It is a php interpreter and also provides documentation.

I downloaded just to try this one, thanks for sharing, but i am almost completely sure that i am going to keep using "php designer 2007 personal", it is way to good for a free program, i see that that program has some good qualities, features, functions, et cetera, but, php designer 2007 is always updating, it has the most cool interface i have ever seen besides the great comunity it already has.

Anyway, i am always looking for new and better tools to code in php/mysql, which by the way, php designer 2007 has complete support for both php and mysql code highlightning and good help guides, and you can even add your own ebooks, in the configuration of the program.

PHP Designer 2007 Personal does'nt have the Professional features that phpIDE offers. You've to buy the PHP Designer 2007 Pro for such features.

The personal edition has everything one needs, but what just a few knows is that the PHP Designer 2007 personal beta 4 has the same features has the pro and final version, i saw that when i was about to uninstall it.

Anyway, the personal edition has everything i need and any developer needs, it is by far the best program to develop php/mysql scripts and websites, i have try this one and it does not have half of what php designer personal has, i am sorry to say so, though, this tool is good indeed.

I've got the PHP Designer 2007 Professional, I love it it has great features.

But I still love to stick with my favorite Dreamweaver 8

Yes, dreameaver is even better but as all in one program to create websites, but to create php scripts/sites, i consider php designer to do the job better, well, that is my opinion, you have yours of course.

I also use dreamweaver sometimes, still, i am used to use frontpage 2003 now, i used to use frontpage 2002 which is even better then the 2003 version in many things, i just can leave frontpage, when i stick with a program, i usually go all the way unless the developement of the same stops.

I also have the pro version of the php designer because i do not know if the beta4 version i have has a time limit like most betas have, but this one i have for more then 1 year so, i guess this is one of those exceptions which i am glade i found out.

PHP Coder (PHP IDE) is a very good program for php coding and is the program I've used when doing most of my website development in PHP. It is very fast, easy to use and has the syntax colouring allowing you to easily spot errors in your coding.

I haven't heard of or tries PHP Designer 2007 but it sounds like quite a good program. I might even download the personal edition of this program to see what it's like.
