Hot scripts is really nice. The only one I really use. I don't like to use other people scripts unless I'm trying to learn from their code. There has only been a couple of times that I've used them without changing them. But I guess now I can check out some new sites I've never heard of.

Although, now at least, I don't really like using other people's scripts where I can avoid it, I learnt a lot from Planet Source Code by downloading examples of code and deconstructing it piece by piece. One of the things I like about it is, unlike HotScripts for example, everything is free and open-source (although still subject to copyright where the author states it). One of the things I don't like about it is that anyone is able to post code snippets, meaning a lot of them are fairly low quality (although I understand they have introduced 'moderated' code postings in the past year or so; whether or not they filter out the low-quality junk I don't know).

Yes, that is one thing i dislike of hotscripts, you go and seek for certain things (i usually dont take enough time to look too deeply) that you need fast, and you find lots of stuff that is not open source... I mean I know i have to take the time to understand the code or to find a free script, but, when you are in a hurry or when it is not worth it and you need something fast, you can get seriously annoyed by these facts...
I used to go to php dot net the first place to search for scripts, but thanx for those sites, this site (php.net) is sometimes too technical for newbies... |

symic.com has some php scripts but only like 10 of them but they free so i guess that works.
But you will most likely find everyting you need at hotscripts. they have a lot there so. |

I have little interest in web scripts apart from mod's for my forum so http://www.mybb.com
i do however has a massive interest in WAP SCRIPTS.. I have a large collection on my site http://cult.trap17.com but you will need to visit with a wap compatible browser or it will redirect you to my web forums if you use Internet Explorer ;-) |
