How to turn a picture of an actual person into a cartoon...

(1) Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur
Settings: 9px

(2) Press Shift+Ctrl+C now in Mode set it to darken and opacity to 100% if it isn't already.

And that's it! Simple, eh?

cool that seems really easy. I'll have to try that someday. I hope it has as cool of an effect as i'm imagining, i could use it for my website.

I have tried this and does not look like cartoon character at all!!!!!!
It’s just blurry!!!

Maybe you wrote something wrong, check it again!!!!

*FIXED*

+Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur; Setting: 9
+ctrl+shift+f; Settings: 100%, Mode: Darken

Yeh thats pretty usefull... I do it alot for signatures I do it a little different but it still works
