Perl is powerful but the code is hard to read. Prefer to use it for UNIX admin. But it is easier (at least for me) to use java to do web programming. smile.gif

Yeap, I also use Perl as a script language for UNIX admin. It is fantastic for string manipulation and you can automatize almost everything. I agree that in the begining reading regexp is not really an easy task :-). As a sever-side technology for Web-programming i use php.
