It's a fine line trying to define hosting credit, what hosting members are entitled to and defining TOS' meaning "being an active member."

But the service agreement is clear--you must be an active member to our forum in order to receive free hosting service. Being an active member may mean different to each of us, but 30 days without any visit to the forum is not what I would consider it as "active member." So use your discretion and stay active in the forum, whether you have tons of credits or not. This helps you to know what's going on with Trap17 forum, forum news and other important messages that administrators might send out.

You won't believe how many members didn't know about forum server migrating to dedicated server. Our IP address changed and most of hosting problem was caused by using the old IP address. If Alerts and News forum is viewed frequently I think the majority of confusion would have been eliminated.

Stay active! smile.gif

All inactive members who have been inactive for more than 32 days would have their accounts terminated but does it include members who have more than 0 credits to their name? I am worried about this because at any time, I may not be available for a period of time and that could really jeopardise my account at Trap17.

If you know that you will be off for a certain amount of time, you can purchase hosting credits: http://www.trap17.com/purchase_credits.htm
QUOTE

185 credits (6 months) $10.00
365 credits (12 months) $20.00
550 credits (18 months) $30.00
730 credits (24 months) $40.00

If you look at the date on the original post by Opaque, the 32 day period was a couple of years ago. Since then, the Credit script determines the Termination of accounts, so one credit per day is charged against your account. If you have 100 credits, your account should be good for 100 days.
Suspension of access to your account happens when you have zero credits and Termination at minus 30 credits.

All this is in the Trap17 Readme file.

The logical thing to do is to purchase credits but as I have seen on the site. Trap17 only allows paypal, credit/debit card but as it stands, I do not have any. I have reached the legal age to apply for a debit card but I do not have enough balance in my bank account to do so. I am trying to request for a debit card but at best, it can only come early next year. At the moment, I do not want to take the risk of getting my site suspended because of some unforseen reasons. Though I have been regularly posting in the last 17 days, getting 78 credits in the process and will continue to do so, I am worried that something might crop up.

Is there another way to do this?
