Thats ridiculous. Of course a googol isnt larger that infinity because infinity is a concept of a number that may never be reached...Hence...GOES ON FOREVER!
There is no infinity+1...Unless of course you know what number infinity is. In which you do not because it isn't really a number, its just a concept in which to represent a number that cannot be reached. -reply by chs98203 |

INFINITY:
Unfortunately, when you start using it as a number, you experience a few problems. You might be thinking, so why isn't it a number? Well, if it is, then it is each and every imaginable and unimaginable number, while being none of them. If you can define a number, it isn't infinity. Therefore, infinity is not a number. -reply by chs98203 |

Google
Google A Number? Replying to LeeSUHH Yes, google is a number. In science we were told that google is another form of infinity it just I guess, a diffrent word to use. The name 'Google' is a play on the word 'googol,' coined by Milton Sirotta, nephew of American mathematician Edward Kasner. A 'googol' refers to the number represented by a 1 followed by 100 zeros. It's a very large number. In fact, there isn't a googol of anything in the universe -- not stars, not dust particles, not atoms. Google's use of the term reflects our mission to organize the world's immense (seemingly infinite) amount of information and make it universally accessible and useful. -reply by friaz |

I thought a googol had 100,000 zeros.. (onehundred-thousand) I wrote the number with 100,000 zeros on word and it took up 5 pages... Lol

yes google is a number
Google A Number? Yes google is a number. Just a few dats ago in science we were learning about astronomy and earths rotation. So our teacher brings up that space goes on forever and one of the kids in my class asks about the number google and asks it a real number. Our teacher didnt really know the answer, well he wasnt sure. So he looked it up ans sure enough it was a number. The computer said that google was a number with one thousand zeros after the first diget. So yes google is a number. -reply by Cole (6th grade) |
