i really want my own domain but it's just too expensive for me, considering that i can do the same for free in trap17. yes the name is cooler but the hosting and domain fees are not cheap, and also not easily payable if you don't live in the US and don't have a credit card...
Does anyone know which company accepts Paymate as payment? Paymate is the australia version of Paypal and I used to use it to pay for my runescape membership. and also domains should be pay-once-for-life. why do you have to keep renewing it every year? |

Do the search engines distingues between the domain types? I mean, if you use one of these free domains, will it hurt in the search engines?

I don't what you meaning " Free Domain"
I go to this topic then got some of Redirect service? WHat I need is a really "free domain"if there is not such thing "dns"domain is better than yours. |

You're really concerned about search engines. I know I was a couple of months ago - Google indexed my site and I was so excited (the keywords "sang nguyen" took you to my site immediately, then I changed hosts and my rank dropped like the atomic bomb).To answer your question, search engines are very objective. Believe it or not, computers, not humans, go through your site and index it to their database, so it doesn't care whether you use a .tk domain, or a .job domain.

google is stupid. I find their system doesn't work that great. I used to have a website like 5 years ago that was number 1 on google. I was hosted on tripod.ca because they didn't have popups like tripod.com Anyway, tripod.ca shut down their .ca domains and I got the shafted. There is no way to update your link in google index.
Anyway, 5 years later. My site that no longer exists is still #1 for that particular keyword. The whole tripod.ca domain no longer exists either but my site is still #1. It is ridiculous. |

Just wondering but, What is an Addon Domain? I got my domain by cjb.net and now I want to do something so I can get something like www.domain.cjb.net/whatever. Not the hiding thing. But I mean like where my site is one place and than when I want to go to another website from the same host but an almost different URL. These are the places I wanna go www.dauca.cjb.net/aok www.dauca.cjb.net/sga www.dauca.cjb.net/aoka how would I set it up and like park it or something but having it go to one of those websites?

Well you can do that www.dauca.cjb.net/sga and www.dauca.cjb.net/aok . I don't know if this is what you really want but here it goes.
Lest say you have www.dauca.cjb.net/ and you want to go to another site www.dauca.cjb.net/sga . You have to make the folder in your public_html called sga and in the folder you can put your website . So whenever you type www.dauca.cjb.net/sga it would open that folder. I don't know if thats what you wanted or if it helped any. |
