QUOTE Here is the table of users with comments serenity: OK, timing not mentioned inyourarms: OK ameribass: OK Dragonfly: OK Thorned Rose: sleeping 12-16h can be dangerous Ebula, I have M.E. It is recommended that people with M.E. get 12 hours of sleep due to the fact that our sleep is not normal and we do not get enough deep sleep so we have to sleep longer to get a half way decent amount. I was merely saying that once I slept for 16 hours. If you are normal, sleep specialists say that you should get 9 hours of sleep every night. As for staying up late etc, human beings are designed to sleep when it gets dark and wake round about dawn when it gets light. Sleep cycles are triggered by light and dark. The modern world with artificial lighting has disturbed this. Staying up till 10, 11, 12 o'clock or later at night is not healthy I'm afraid. |

Well, I sleep from 9:00/9:30 until 6:00 which gives me about 9-9.5 hours of sleep per night except on Thursdays and Mondays when I sleep from 10:00 until 6:00 which leaves me with 8 hours of sleep. That's just on school nights. Fridays and Saturdays I sleep from 10:00 or 11:00 until 8:30 or 9:00 which leaves me with at least 9 hours and 10 or 11 at the maximum. Sleep is indeed overrated since you can't get stuff done while sleeping but I still get enough of it.

Sleeping for 8 hours does seem overrated, but it feels soo good. On a normal school day I usually go to bed at 2 and wake up around 8. It's so hard to wake up before 8 am now.

Hi,
I usually sleep for 8-9 hours that is from 10 to 6 or 7 in the morning. But lately I have been getting only 5-6 hours because of a few projects that I am working on. I have to sleep at 10 in the night so that I get enough sleep and do not oversleep for If I oversleep I would miss the ride o work There are times where I have not slept for 2 or 3 days due to work or bad mood or friends or something but I catch it up somehow |

Summer has come and I sleep pretty late and I stay up till the wee hours of the morning. About 3-4 AM. Then I wake up around 1-2 pm or later if I choose to lay there some more and squeeze some minutes to an hour. I find that my day goes by faster when I do that. The summer goes away faster and I get back ALIVE status. lol. I get enough sleep though. Its only when I got school that i sleep around 12am or little bit later.
I think during your sleep your body develops immunities and stuff. That's why when you go without sleep for long periods you get weak and more susceptible to getting sick. |

I go to bed at 10:30 and sleep to 07:00, when I have school. In the weekends, I go to bed at 03:00 and wake up at 12:00 lol
I never need to use a clockradio, I just get up at 07:00. Biological clock |

I generally get to sleep around 10/11pm and then wake up again at about 6am! I have too much homework and coursework to do. THat does give me 7-8 hours of sleep a night though.

Well, I try to get at least eight hours of sleep a night, on school nights i go to bed at around nine, but usually don't fall asleep until eleven and wake up at 6:30. During the summer or vacation I've started a schedule where I usually stay up until about midnight and then try to sleep and i wake up at nine. But I don't get a whole night of sleep usually, i never sleep throughout the night, so I guess i probably get about seven and a half or close to eight unless i had more sleep earlier.
