A good way of getting into google is the following:-
1) get in the other searchengines msn and yahoo 2) have a link to your website on other websites and directories 3) submit to google, msn, yahoo manually. go to google click about and then click submit. |

Links from sites on unrelated topics can help, but links from sites on related topics are better.

Usualy when someone asks how to get his site on top of ranking, people answer something like, add this, link to that site, put this code on your page that will help ...
But they dont get the point, you dont even need a dicent domain name, no fancy links, banner... You just have to have the content of your page that is interesting to people, and give thme knowleg or whateva they are looking for. Yes its not easy, you thought it was easy to be one of the best free hosting services for trap17 ? did you read what problems do they have ... Does this site have fancy ipb skin ? noo... but thats not mater to thouseds of people that come here for informations. If someone wont to know how to get his site top ranked, and by googling he jumps to your page, he realy woulndnt mind whats the colour of your logo, or are you linked from main yahoo page or something. Give the users woth they wont and eventualy you will get visits even if your not well ranked on google. The main thing about google, and affourse other search engines, is constantly refreshing your page with new content, becouse that wont users... It doesnt matter if you puted robots.txt to your page or not, or some other stupid code. |

I think google monitors how often your website is updated and if its not updated over a long period of time the generally you see your SERPs begin to slump.

cod, did not know those 2 meta tags for google bot/spider, but those does not seem correct, isn't it like this insted?:

Is there a way to remove your links from google ?
I have some links to other free hosting server witch I don't use anymore like lycos , ... But when you hit the keyword in google they are still in the first positions. |

kdr_98, use that in your favour, i mean, if those sites appear in the top results, that is very good for you if you are the administrator.
Why? Simple, you could use those site(s) in the top results to promote your other websites, you could insert active links to your other websites to increase the number of active links (google page rank) to your other websites. Think a litle, you can use it for your own good, for promoting your other websites, forums, blogs, whatever. A good promoting and search engine optimization technique is to create a network of websites, with the same or different subjects, the goal is to exchange links between those websites to achieve maximum google page rank, plus, google adsense will pay you more for each click, no matter thekeywords, google adsense will pay you more because your google page rank is high.
