I wouldn't download that plugin that they require! I did, but my anti virus software caught a Trojan in it! I wouldn't really trust a Dotworlds domain. I was going to TRY it, until it said that it contained the Trojan horse TR/Qrap.A. Just a warning.

Hm...Qrap.A looks like a very new virus too. The new ones are always the worst to combat...I'd say don't risk it...

QUOTE(Johnny @ Apr 13 2005, 05:15 AM) Hm...Qrap.A looks like a very new virus too. The new ones are always the worst to combat...I'd say don't risk it... hi there .....I am sorry but I find nothing, no virus no trojan on dotworlds plugin...nothing at all. As far as I am concerned the plugin is very good. Everything works fine and I have no problems with my computer. Can you tell me If/What programme did you use that says there is a trojan. I run Norton FULLY updated and it is clear and clear. I dont think you can get better recommendation than that. Having read you post I felt I had to recheck Norton updates and run the whole scan thing again just to be safe, and yes it shows again EVERYTING is clear. Also I even uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin and NOTHING no probs at all. Please can u tell me what you did that picked that up or what software you used. I am really thinking that you must be wrong but, just in case, I would much appreciate your help. Thanks |

Well, for all I know, it could be wrong...but I tried twice to do it, and it still detected the Trojan. The virus program I used is AntiVir. It's a free virus protection software. I forgot where I got it from, though. It's also up-to-date as well. It said it contained it as soon as the plugin installed, then it deleted the plugin. I may try it again, just to verify it.

I rechecked again with Norton and the dotworlds plugin is clean THANKS for th info, I can now sleep easy |

Well, you never really know, do you? I'm not going to do it, just in case. Yeah, it may be wrong, but I won't take that chance, because I hate Trojans. I've rechecked it many times, as well. Still, when it comes to Anti Virus Software (and Anti Spyware Software), what they detect can vary.

So let me get this clear.. this is a redirecting domain network that will only work.. with a certain plugin that connects you to the network so that you can actually go to the networks domain and get redirected...
So basically, free isnt really better then 3.99 per year, huh? my question is, how big is this plug in and how safe is it when it comes to Spyware... I downloaded weather bug and since that day I have asked myself the question |
