If anyone has not got a iPod yet, i strongly suggest buying one.

You might want to wait for the 5G version to come out thought.

The Ipod is a style and design icon first and an mp3 player second in my opinion.
I mean you can get much more for much less smile.gif
I myself have an Iriver HP40, and its specs far out weigh the ipod 40gig and for so much less.
I say before rushing off to buy an ipod, look at the competetion. If you want more fucntion for your cash then get soemthin else, but if ya dont't mind diving into ur wallets for the sake of a trendy design accesorry then by all means go for the ipod smile.gif

Although i would say the new Iriver HP10 is alot more stylish than the ipod mini:

I ahve a mini. Its ease of use is unbelievable, the interface is unmatched by anything else I've ever seen or used. The sound quality is far better than this g2 (or s2, whatever it is.) sony cd player I used before it. I have 930 songs on it now, most of my cd collection.

I currently am listening to subseven's new cd "free to conquer," zao's cd "legendary," Norma Jean's new cd "Oh' God, the aftermath," As I Lay Dying's cd, and Living Sacrifices cd "Reborn."

whats not to like about an MP3 player, with cool design, and enough power to play 24h straight?

Although some people prefer the Creative Zen, im staying with my ipod. For the people who are thinking about buying a Zen or Ipod, ill make a comparision between both of them:

Ipod:

Storage and song capacity: 20GB (5,000 songs)
Battery life: Up to 12 hours
Connectivity: USB 2.0 and FireWire 400 through Dock connector
Charge time: About 4 hours (2-hour fast charge to 80% capacity)
Audio support (very important IMHO): AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Music Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), Apple Lossless, WAV, AIFF
Weight (not to underestimate): 5.6 ounces
Price: $299

Creative Zen:

Hard Drive Capacity: 20GB (about the same as iPod)
Battery Life: Up to 11 hours of continuous playtime (Less then the iPod)
Playback Formats: MPEG Audio Layer 3 (MP3), Windows Media Audio (WMA), WAV, IMA ADPCM (+ for Zen, because supports WMA)
couldn't find the weight for Zen.
Price: $249.99

So here you have it... iPod IS better! tongue.gif (IMHO that is)

There are better things out there than Ipod and creative zen... But, I wouldn't be crying if I got an Ipod. In fact.... I'd be very happy. Anyone want to contribute to the: "I'm poor, give me a free ipod fund?"

No? To bad...

I have a new Ipod, and I love the fact that I can put the skins over it to express myself.
