A post such as the previous one is something "bad" as it is unnessesary and spam.

You get Hosting Credits by posting on the trap17 forums, you can see how many hosting credits you have by visiting to frontpage of the forums. Once you reach 10 hosting credits, you can request for a web hosting account.

hope this helps,

I would like to add to whyme's reply. Also do not forget to post of some content and not just "LOL" or "thank you". And copying things of the net is a big no-no here as well.

In your case huls, please make slightly longer posts. That in itself will help you with your hosting credits. The length and content of your posts is more important than the amount you post. (and one other hint... the "report to moderator" feature sends a pm to all admins and moderators and is solely used to get our attention to problems - not to reply. While I can understand a mistake, just try to not do that again LOL wink.gif)

no offence but how are u moderator when u have just posted three times blink.gif huh.gif ohmy.gif Lol, thats freaky and wrong, u dont have the capability to be moderator as ur dont have the time to even post at this forum, so why tell us to post longer when u urself dont post at all!!!
Notice from NilsC:
This is an offence to me, you received a warning for your 'glib' remark. Moderators are here to moderate the forums, they do not answer to you. I made moonwitch a moderator and if you have any problem with a moderator, PM me!

Doom - Yelling at moderators is bad. Very very bad. I'm guessing moonwitch either knows OpaQue and got a free seat (X.x) or maybe it's just a new account for an old member. Either way, it's not your problem.

To staffies - Can someone check my tutorial for any rule breaks? Those rules are kinda vague (like the image rules and such) and II want to make sure I didn't do anything bad.

I somewhat got a free seat yes, because I am a mod at astahost. The reason I don't post here, is simple. I am here to check things, to read posts, after a few hours a day reading posts here and on astahost, I tend to feel not so talkative LOL. I spend more time actually reading posts, checking if they are copied, editting posts on foul language etc, then I can give time to write posts.

See, the thing is, doom145, mods may not post a lot, but that does not mean we don't contribute. I spend several hours daily just reading posts... That's why we are mods, it's not just posting, it's answering questions, checking if posts don't violate rules, if they're copied, foul language,... I also have a life offline, I watch my 4 yr old sister, I teach her to write and read, I clean house, I cook dinner, ... And I try to make me a carreer.

And for the record, feel free to search my posts, they are usually longer than just one paragraph wink.gif

Umm, are we restricted to posting tutorials about tech-related things? Can I post a tutorial on mobile phones or gardening (lol just an example! biggrin.gif ) or something else not related to web designing or programming?

It does seem like a lot of rules to follow, specially to a newbie to the site. But I guess I will follow it since it offers the platform for me to develop my application..moreso, because it entails academic value for me.
