I fully agree with this drug search in high schools.

Drugs, although they cam be helpful if you're suffering illnesses, some can also cause harm and cause you to do things that you'll regret.

The police want everyone to stay drug-free and they want those who have consumed drugs to stay clear from anything else so that they won't come to any harm. Rightly so!

It's just like smoking in public college/school toilets - they should sort out this. The smokers are not just affecting their own lives, but they're affecting everyone else who inhales the smoke - this is now statistically proven.

This is my view on drugs/smoking.

My school does the same thing. The only thing they don't do is random drug searchs. Almost every year they bring the dogs in and what ever class your in you have to stay in. They pick random rooms to go in and then they make the kids go outside and leave all their stuff in the school. They search the whole campus. Then they go to the parking lot and let the dogs sniff out there. I've known a few too many kids who got caught over the last 3 years because 3 years ago was when they actually started doing this. Some kid I knew threw a bag underneathe some teachers desk when the dogs came in. Then no one owned up to it so he got in trouble when they found out. I don't think they should do random drug searchs, I think they need a reason, just like how they need a reason to search a house or pull you over.

I think that random weapon or drug searches are necessary because look at our world today. There is so much violence. President Ronald Regan announced over radio in 1984 that violence is a minor problem throughout the world. If he thought throwing a few punches was violent think about what he would say today. Our society is out of control. We have gangs that kill instead of being mature and looking at the problem in another way to solve it. I'll just say most are pretty stubborn and mean people. We just all need to solve our "differences" so we can get along, but people will still think the world wants to be like them and that since they all want to be like them will be... Then they wont be them old self they will be the popular ones and will influence and get influenced over and over and over.
