rofl
What does he think he will get out of this? It is not God's fault.. I don't get it.. Does he expect money to fly down from heaven or everything to go back to normal? If he can't handle it, he shouldn't be a senator in the first place.. But hey, as some of you have said, I hope this is just a joke, lol. Actually, all he's trying to do is to make fun of stupid court cases that US is famous for. Like a robber being caught in a closet several years ago by accident, who sued the couple, whose house he was robbing for an involuntary assault. They actually had to pay him (even though he was in jail for robbery at the same time.) |

Well God actually has a lawyer for himself. And it looks like God will lose this trial. I saw this a while back and thought it was pretty darn funny!
He's only making the case that anyone can sue anyone for anything. And quite right too. It was becoming rediculous. Heck I could sue trap for the time I took HAVING to write this post! A couple of his points (which I thought were excellent); Since God is omnipotent he knows all about the trial and what is going on. Trouble is, how do you find a Jury that is NOT related to the defendant!!!! - They are working on that one as we speak This post has been edited by Jimmy: Sep 25 2007, 09:53 AM |

This news is absolutely hilarious. If senators are like this what can north american people expect from their president?
Let's hope God won't revenge. |

I'd heard that people like to resolve problems by suing in USA, but it is really a strange thing to sue God. I don't think God will appear in court any way.
People don't like go to court, they would rather negotiate about problems. It's still too expansive, too time wasting. And even court made judgment of a civil action, mostly it will not be executed. Only important case will be sue such as murder, robbing etc,. Maybe that's the difference. |

well he's obviously doing it to prove a point
I also heard that he did it to show that it was so easy to sue anyone in the united states legal system. and it is. I remember some time ago that some lady sued mcdonalds because she spilled coffee on herself from there (and it was too hot.) |

I hear these sorts of stories about the US legal system all the time. How many people have successfully sued god now? You would think they would do something about this. Make it a law that you cannot sue god or something.
Is it true that you can make a living off running in front of cars and sueing the drivers in America? Now thats funny. |

Huh, I guess no one heard the update on the case then. The legislator actually got a reply from "God":
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/2.../odd-suing-god/ According to the Clerk working there, "This one miraculously appeared on the counter. It just all of a sudden was here _ poof!" According to the letter, the defendant is immune from certain earthly laws and the case lacks jurisdiction. And on the matter of problems in the world, the letter speaks of man's free will as a gift from God. I think the letter is dead on. First of all, you can't sue God. How can the thing made attack its Creator? First of all, how are you going to punish God? He's bigger This post has been edited by Joshua: Oct 5 2007, 04:44 AM |

Eh this is just stupid If I may say so and it is total waste of coourtroom time and when you consider that htis is united states sentaro then you see why some certain things are happening in the world
And not to talk about their president |
