hai Truefusion you've done a great work, your Gallery looks great, it is very simple and very neat, with a little tweaking we can get a cool professional gallery, I think this can be used for displaying personal Graphics works.
Why dont you add a template system to the gallery. |

Using nested tables seems so evil to me. I'm all about standards these days. I think you should get rid of the nested tables in the design. I don't know how the programming aspect of it works really. I only looked at the demo. But you should make a nice smooth design for it, and then maybe make a nice template system so users can customize it relatively easily. When you were explaining it, you said "if you don't have thumbnails....". Does that mean you have to make your own thumbnails? If so, I think you should write a good upload script that will automatically create thumbnails with GD or Imagemagik. That's my opinion.

Lightbox is a javascript which loads images in the same page without the need of going to a new page everytime you click on an image, it's stylish and effective and it will bring more life to your script, but thats only my 2 cents. see here I will consider this script for a later version—assuming i can get it to work. If so, I think you should write a good upload script that will automatically create thumbnails with GD or Imagemagik. That's my opinion. I'm all about standards as well; however, i use what gets the job done easier and simpler for me. Yes, i could very well replace the design with divisions floating and not floating, and use unordered lists for the display of the thumbnails, but maybe that'll change for a later version; until then, i will consider the way Internet Explorer handles floats. [1]For the current version: Yes, you must make your own thumbnails. For the version i'm currently working on: No, it'll have it's own image uploader that will automatically generate a thumbnail and place it in its respective "thumb" directory via the GD library, for this newer version will have its own C-panel. As for a template system: the version i'm currently working on will make it extremely easy for one to make their own template. |

Cool. Sounds good! How long til the new version comes out? I've been working on a photogallery script lately too. I guess everybody has their own ideas for these types of things. Everything from the most simple script to just display the images and paginate them, all the way to advanced galleries like coppermine.

How long til the new version comes out? Not too long, just need to implement a certain feature in the C-panel and fix this JavaScript problem. Then do some testing with the script and check to see if there's any security flaws. And it should be interesting to see yours when it's complete. |

Hmm, it looks cool, can you change on any of the images, like.. the top? are you able to customize the looks, or are you not allowed to edit that.. :/ because it looks kinda.. bland.. if you know wha ti mean, it could use a lot of... style.. but im not the person to do that...
so you have to um.. change eeverythign just for your site? no generator, i would be better w/ one- |

I'd suggest to wait for v1.5 if you're looking to be able to really spice the template out. [3]Yeah, i didn't wanna go all out with the design on this one. I wanted to keep it simple—both in the design and the coding; however, the latter is a bit hard. [4]Not sure what you mean here, too. Keep an eye out for it around here on the trap Will do. |
