Pending on the lenses, some lenses can be worn over night. The safest thing is to take them out. I do know of a case, a teahcer at my old highscool, she wore her lenses to sleep for over a week and had to get laser eye surgery because teh lenses actually attached to her eyes.

Wow. Out of all the possible issues I've suspected could come out of wearing your contacts for too long, I never even IMAGINED that something like that could happen.

I myself, prefer glasses because contacts have always caused me a lot of trouble, whether it's losing them or leaving them by the frosty window and have misfortunate things happen with them. I did, once, sleep over night with them in and in the morning it wasn't too pleasant. It kind of felt like my eyes were burning. I don't reccomend it. I didn't like putting them in, either, but most people can just get passed that, as it just takes a little getting used to.

But I like my glasses. They're cool.
