I have seen adverts saying get a free iPod or free Sony VAIO laptop, I didn't believe them, but I clicked the advert anyway. You had to live in America, I was not pleased
Anyways, yeh, I know a guy living in America who had free stuff like this from the internet somewhere. Having to sign up for a loan, just to get an iPod is not a good idea anway, I'd rather just buy one... |

QUOTE(snlildude87 @ Jun 21 2005, 01:36 AM) Yes, it actually can be done, but you need to be quite popular for it to work. People such as Kevin Rose, Sarah Lane, and Alex Albrecht all have gotten free ipods. Those people also get insane hits to their site, and they're quite popular because they are or used to be on television, so they can pretty much get their visitors to do anything for them. I'm not sure about the credit card, but if you convince your parents that you will handle all charges, then I'm pretty sure that they will allow you to borrow their credit card. POPULAR?? Ohh boy that's gonna be a problem for me. I'm pretty these free iPod things work because I used one of these "ladder" programs before. All I do is send e-mails to random people and my friends. My friends would do anything for me, like seriously. ( Okay maybe not. ) |

Those ads annoy me to death. I figured as much. Its not really free cause the cost is being spammed, having a full mailbox, begging your friends to sign up for stuff. Possibly getting put on every mailing list in exisistance. Thats not really free its a pain in the butt. Does anyone have a free ipod from those offers? I havent met anyone yet.

QUOTE This sounds like a scam. We couldn't believe it at first either. But there is proof that this is a legitimate deal. People have sent in pictures of their receipts from other deals from Gratis Internet, the company who is providing this offer. Here's one for a free iPod someone received for a similar offer by Gratis, and here's one for a free flatscreen TV. Still not convinced? The internationally-published Wired News ran an article about Gratis, stating that "the site appears to be legitimate. The program almost certainly isn't a dodgy pyramid scheme; it's a new form of online marketing supported by companies like eBay, AOL and Columbia House." But what are you trusting our word for? Go read the article yourself. How free is it? Just complete an offer, then refer 5 friends to do the same. After that, you'll receive the iPod prize of your choice free of charge, you don't even have to pay shipping! Offers are usually inexpensive - some only require you to pay shipping, others (like AOL) can be done without a credit card, and canceled at any time. Popular offers include The da Vinci Code (or another book) for $3, free weight-loss pills, and 5 DVDs for 49¢ each. How can they afford to give away free iPods? By completing an offer and having your friends do the same, advertisers such as AOL and Blockbuster completely cover the price of the iPod. Gratis Internet receives somewhere between $25 and $90 for each offer that is completed. With 1 offer completed by you and 10 by your friends, advertisers pay up to $990 towards your iPod, and you pay $0. Sounds good, where can I sign up? Sign up to receive a free iPod by clicking right here. Be sure to use a valid e-mail address and shipping address - if they discover that you've used bogus information, they'll deactivate your account indefinitely. It will ask you to participate in a short survey, but you do not have to. Then you'll want to get started on an offer right away - some take a few days to give you credit, so complete them as soon as possible. Anything else I should know about? Each of your referrals must use a valid e-mail address and shipping address - you won't receive credit if they use fake information. You can do as many offers as you want, but you are only credited for the first one. Also, you should verify your e-mail address at some point - you can do this by clicking on the "My Account" link and requesting a verification e-mail. I still don't believe this. Click here for pictures of the iPod I received! phuzion.com |

I myself will not go with ay of those things becuase of the fact that they say you might win. I think that you are better of to go to a store yourself and go buy one. That is what I di because I know that if I had a problem that I could return it and that there was know chance involved with getting it. Also buy the time you finsih with all the sponsor work and the effort of trying to get some people to do the same thing as you I think that it is pointless. Also you are still ot guarenteed to get it. So I say just go buy it.

3 weeks ago my account on freeipods.com was approved, I'll recieve my iPod this week.
It didn't cost me anything, the offer I completed was a free trial, and I posted my link on one forum and I got all the referrals in a week, about 200 people signed up and 9 of them did an offer. So I ended up with extra referrals! I'll post pictures here when I recieve the ipod! |

I am also 15, and I tried it before... It's really hard to do.
I got one person to complete an offer, and about 10 to sign up. The rest of them cheated me... I offered them gmail accounts (back when they were harder to get...) and they lied to me, so be careful when doing these things, or when you offer them something in return, wait until you are notified that they completed an offer before giving them anything! Good luck to anyone doing this! |

Hi:
I signed up for a free handbag site. It is the same idea as the free ipod site. It might even be run by the same company. Anyway, you have to complete an offer and refer 5 friends. The offers are various. Some of them are easy. Signing up for a credit card, for example. Easy and free. I ordered some pet medication online, as an offer. I joined some services, and after evaluating them and seeing I didn't need them, I was able to cancel them. I also got some pet treats (kind of expensive pet treats, but hey...this is a Prada handbag I was after). I had to get 5 people to sign up under me. This is not so easy to do. People are very sceptical. I was able to get 5 people to sign up and complete the offer. They sent me a $250 (two hundred and fifty dollars) gift card to neiman marcus. So, I could go and pick out whichever handbag I wanted. I think getting the gift card was probably better than getting the actual handbag. This way, I could go the Neiman Marcus, and shop for exactly which handbag I wanted. Granted, the Prada handbags are substantially more than $250, but hey...all I had to do was buy some pet treats.
