Will please help me or email me coz I’m willing to invest. Thank you and I would appreciate your reply. So you want to start a business, let me give you some ideas and their profit margin. Lets take it from some one who is CEO and founder. My business was imports and export, bank and supermarkets. This is a good idea and now I'm a billionaire, with 40.7 billion dollars. The idea of doing all this is hard so you should start small like, opening a supermarket. The secrets behind a supermarket is having a store with name brand things at a cheap price and making a profit, well its like this, finding name brand things from companies is hard, they want to make money so you buy a lot of that stock in exchange for a cheap price. This is good for you, you got good price and a lot of cheap stock, so your price are good, and in return you make money that will help you. Most people think the cost of starting a supermarket is high but look at my success story, The money is good is your willing to risk it. So when you have more money you expand and do more things, to increase your money and you get richer and keep doing this until your richer than me or at lease a millionaire. |

What are your interests? You should do something you love, otherwise you may not have the motivation to stick with it when things get tough. I would start by compiling a list of things you could sell/do that you would really enjoy, even if they sound crazy or like they wouldn't make a good business. Then, do some market research and see what's already being sold. You'd do best to offer something new, so see if anything on your list is novel and unique. If not, think of ways to combine different items on your list, or think of variations.
Also take note of times in your life when you wish you had a particular good or service. Perhaps many others would like it too. Could you offer it? Some of the most sucessful ideas are simple, common sense things that no one bothered to think about before. So start basic, do a lot of reading/thinking, and listen to your instincts. The idea will probably come to you when you're doing something completely unrelated, and then you'll be set! |

I totally agree that your business should be something you know a lot about AND are passionate about. Then what you do will not feel like work.
I wanted to add to a couple of previous comments - * once you have decided on what you are doing, create an actual business plan. This involves setting up a clear idea of what you will do and how you will generate income from it. * streamline your processes (things that you do in a systematic manner in your business, eg invoicing, quoting etc) and have these documented, so that you are not 'starting from scratch' each time you need to do something. * find and maintain good relationships with suppliers. Just about any business needs suppliers - and the more reliable they are, the smoother your job will be * join or create a user group / business group in your local area if you are working on your own. Others' ideas and a fresh ear is great to bounce ideas off. * work out who your market is (ie. the types of clients you will be selling your product/service to and make sure your marketing and advertising efforts go in the right form and to the right people. For example, if you are selling budget websites, do not advertise in high end business magazines, but try the local paper etc Thats about all I can think of for now |
