Definitely it's not legal, but anyway... nobody is going to come to your house and take you to jail if you record on tape some songs from the radio, which years ago, before Internet and CD-Rs, was a very common thing. So if you record a song from a radio station online I guess it's the same... or it's just more ilegal because it's an mp3? No way. For those so worried about author rights, RIAA, morality or whatever, I suppose there are radio stations that only put not copyrighted music or under creative commons licenses. But I'm not going to be so hypocrite to say that this is illegal because for me it's not a question of laws, it's a question of how it should be. I download dozens of records a month and I go to dozens of concerts in which I invest my money (and there I buy records and merchandise), to give it directy to the artists, many of whom support online distribution of their music or simply don't care.
Simply I'm a bit tired of it, nobody here uses emule, torrents, soulseek, pando... nothing. Yes, I believe... For me, if you're not allowed to record something that you can hear... something goes wrong. If you want me to listen to it, then I should be able to record it, the same way, I can record the sound of birds or traffic. |

It seems like this one site i went to, whereas you can watch most TV channels, and stream it. But this is also good, although i'm going to stick with my own method of getting music.

Is it youtube? anyway if you want a music video or something like that get apple itunes it's a perfectely legal way of getting tunes and putting them in your ipod or just simply listening to it on your computer.
Recording a TV program i.e. Prison Break is not illegal because you aren't selling it and you will tape over it sooner or later. |

Everyone downloads mp3/music using the internet, with a very very very few exceptions.
With this program, you have the option to download the music you are listening at the radio station but, this was created mainly for people to listen radios using the internet, anyway, it is not illegal to use this program, even if you record/download the music you are listening, to your computer hard drive. |

My only concern is the quality of the recording. Radio definitely would be a lower quality version of the song.

The best way is to download from rapidshare.
1. Get the link 2. Download the song(mp3) or the whole album |

srujanlive, your and our problem is not the quality of the recorded song to your hard drive, because i know for sure that the quality is the highest/greatest, i recorded all the songs i wanted, and all songs were recorded in mp3 format.
Just click the option that says autovolume, but do not click the option that says "reverse stereo", and like this, the program will record in high quality audio. The problem is the fact that you must listen to the songs you want to record/save to your hard drive in mp3 because if you do not, you will have to use a program like "audacity" which is free by the way, to edit/cut the mp3 file created. |
