Be Careful with scripts like this, they may be free yes, but the amount of space and bandwidth you need once your site starts getting hits is hard to get for free. Think several thousand people uploading files 1MB each, thats in the region of 1/2/3GB and this will increase in time, meaning running out of space and unhappy visitors.

This is lovely, nice and neat script although its original site misses imagination it looks cool I also checked your site for the flash clocks. And I think I might just add this to some of my future projects.

Good job though, sharing this.

But Uploads, well i think now-a-days everything is converted to dedicated sites so well hmm..... example Youtube has taken over the online Video Uploading division, Photobucket is considered the most used Picture uploading service; and other files like docs are now supported by google, once u make an account with them. The MOST Important thing about Uploading is the fact that ur server has to be UPTO date with all the security patches and maintain it well, and as for $$$ making money well thats not gonna work as there are a lot of services doing it for free. I am Sorry i am so critical but i was just highlight the facts that if u really want to do it and have the urge to make an uploading site by ur self gooo on ! and best of luck but as for the hard ships required well i was just highlighting/reminding u some of it, most of you all that. I think i said enough but Dont waste ur time !! be productive think up about ideas not thought about soo far and then use that to get $$$.

Obviously i am not going to give you the admin password, that is not a demo but the rest functions like a demo because i just wanted to show you how it works, and it works well enough for anyone to use this completely free and full script to incorporate it in web projects, because in fact, you do not need so much bandwidth in order to add/offer this script in a website of yours, just use your imagination, and configurew it wisely, i did, and i am not consuming a lot of bandwidth, that is 100% controled to the maximum.

Besides, the configuration of this script is so easy that a baby could do it, you just need to configure 1 file, and its name is "config.php", and you do not need programming knowledge whatsoever, you just need to insert some values/words, but that it is so well explained that you do not even need to know how to read, almost!

You can use the original design (images) of the script, but if you want to change it to fit your website design, or even to insert this script on a frame or iframe inside your website, you can, so just change the design/images, and for that, you just need to use a html/web editor that can andle html and php, or just html (because the php support is not really needed), and open and configure the files "header.php" and "footer.php" and the "index.php" to change some text and perhaps to insert/add some images if you would like.

Well, as I have noticed that in this topic many people are asking why would they make it free. Well the point here is that many such and similar companies that are providing free service are in fact earning from the profits that are provided to them by the visitors of their site who in the aftereffect fo their previous findings will be more keen to buy some solution of the company which probably is not concurent on the market.

So if you understnad this then you will check out the site and there is the link which links you with the direct writer of the software that is script and this provides them aditional trafic. Also I would like to note that I do not have anythning against it or them for providing links I just say that it pays out for them to provide such links.

In fact in the beginning of the open source many companies started free and open source projects just because they could not compete on the market without some workable solution to provide it to their customers. It is similar to the thing when you go to the car saloon and check out new car enter it and drive it around and then if you like it you probably buy something similar or with aditional equipment. And this thing done by car salloon that is to provide you free drive in the car has increased their chance of selling the car to you.
