I re-registered for an account, and it got deleted again in 4 days (without doing anything).
So that's it for me. This is the most unreliable host I've ever used. At least give your members a days notice when deleting accounts... i've since moved to <<other>> hosting and they seem much more user friendly. |

Hello,
I was hosting a Eve Online in-game browser (IGB) compatible website. It did not have proper CSS for regular browsers like IE/Firefox. I think the administrator looked at the site (which looks weird and unreadable in a regular browser) and cancelled my account. It is completely understandable, however I lost quite a few modification which I made through CPanel and I do not have a backup. I am sorry I did not have time to make a proper CSS for regular browsers. I also uploaded one file (.tar.gz) which may have exceed 1MB, but i deleted it after the content was extracted (which was also deleted later on as I did not have use for that web-application). The site does not run any database intensive app (only one news submitter I wrote), and have does not host large images (only one image ~160k). I will upload a proper CSS if I get back my account. If it is required, I will sign up for 1year hosting if my data is available. Ticl This is the URL: http://sweetrockminingcompany.qupis.com This post has been edited by ticl: Jul 10 2007, 01:56 AM |

Hi,I can see two reasons why your site might have been deleted : 1. You might have exceeded your resource limit. 2. Your site must have been inactive for more than 50 days. I am sorry but when a website is deleted from our servers, then all of the data is deleted and you wont be able to get it even if you get paid hosting. But if you get a paid hosting then you would not have to worry about your space limit. Please let me know if you have any more doubts. |

Hi, my site is currently in the screening process and I just want to clarify some thing.
You say files that users download cannot exceed 1mb- what if we were to split up a download into part 1 and part 2; if say, both parts were 600kb or so? Also, can embedded files like swfs exceed 1mb? Thanks. This post has been edited by elaks: Jul 15 2007, 06:19 PM |

elaks,
Please note that your question is in the Qupis Hosting sub-forum. This is a free-with-ads Hosting sister company and the rules are different for those accounts. Trap17 Hosting will allow you to upload larger files. I have uploaded some zip files that exceed 7 megs on my Trap17 account. |
