You do know you said free? Those are all p2p.

Knight Online is a very nice Beta MMORPG, but it will become p2p sometime in the future.

Unless you are limiting yourself to web-based MMORPG, the only thing you can do is to make room in your computer to download these games. The space needed for this MMORPG are not a lot, a decent one could take maybe less than 1 gb, a good one with extensive graphics, maybe less than 1.5 gb. If you want a free MMORPG, you must be prepared to invest some hard disk space in it. With that being said and done, I recommend Silkroad Online, (http://www.silkroadonline.net), it is based on a Chinese adventure, but it is available in English as well. I have been playing that for quite some time now but due to the constraint of work and lack of playing time, I play about 20 minutes before going to work everyday. And after several months, I am still stuck at level 28, which is a very slow progressive rate to level up. People who started the same time as me are already in their 40s.

Basically it is a MMORPG which invovles a first person clicking basis, with the combination of skills, items ... etc, your main objective, to kill monsters and decide your route, to be a trader, thief or hunter. There is also a guild for you to join, mix items to make weapons, killing another player (of course that is a crime so be prepared for the consequences should you decide to take that course of action), as for the rest of the features, play it and try yourself. I am playing in the tibet server, so you can find me at orangejuicy as my nickname wink.gif

I have to say that I have played all those games and I found all of them quite enjoyable. Though private servers are illegal adn I just decided to pay for WoW. The thing is, the money is worth it if you play enough. I know a lot of people who should pay because of the time they spend playing the games. But it is always nice to have a couple free MMO's if you get bored of the one you are paying for smile.gif. I know that there are some free Lineage II private servers happy.gif

Sherwood dungeon is a good mmorpg for free that requires no downloading or fees. Browser based! But it is fun. Has good graphics, interesting features, etc.

You guys should try it out:

http://maidmarian.com/sherwood.htm

Also check out moonbase, where you can chat and hang out on the moon and drive stuff around : http://maidmarian.com/moonbase.htm

And tankball, where you have 5 minute games where you destroy each other (tanks) with bullets and powerups and stuff...

http://maidmarian.com/tank.htm

And finally Marians world/Club Marian - 2 hangouts to chat in, club marian has cars, emoticons, music, areas for teleportation, etc.

http://maidmarian.com/clubmarian.htm

Fun games!

Ugh, runescape, it's so repetitive, at least in the free version, but I didn't like it enough to pay five bucks a month for the full one when there are better MMOs that are completely free.

I've tried Sherwood Dungeon, I never really got into it though, it was kinda bland.

There are TONS of free MMORPGs if you know where to look, but make sure you use Site Advisor to make sure they aren't loaded with viruses, because a few of them are!

Sherwood is kind of bland but hey I like it....it's coming along slowly (Like they just added another island to sherwood, an arena one) but you gotta know with me I have dial up and a slow computer so there isn't many mmos that I can play that work well without a 30 hour download or without super lag or without whatever else there may be....idk....

well they are a lot of free mmorpgs out there:
Cabal Online:it's cute u have a many skills but it's hard to get them, and free it is hard u have to pay to make things easyer. But it is fun after u reach lv 50. depends on how much u play but u can get to 50 in one week.
Archlord:nice graphics for a free mmo but all you do is grind. it can be fun because u can fight 6 7 or maybe more mobt at a time with aoe skills, and the mobs spawn very quickly so u don't have to walk long distances for a new one. has an auction house.
Cabal:nice but u have to be a grind master after a certain level it's really hard to lvl and boring
WOW, lineage on private servers. for wow trie to find a good private there are some but on others it just not worth it.
and the former space cowboys (i know... gayyy) now it's called airrivals. it is an mmorpg combined with an arcade flight simulator
. it's lots of fun

As I have suggested on another thread you should probably try Mabinogi by Nexon America. The game itself is actually quite rich as in innovative. Your character can actually become skinny or fat depending on foods eaten. Of course normal routine of working out reduces your fatness and gain muscles etc. Regardless it holds the main points that makes any MMORPG fun and that would be massive boss fights, lots of missions, cash shop (in case you would like to pay for the additional services), skills and party fun. You should definitely try it.

Mabinogi
