Very cool hosting. After my regular hosting company terminated my account for an unknown reason and being either ignored or rejected from who knows how many other hosts, I had to go on yet another host hunt. After a LONG time of searching, I finnaly stumbled upon trap17.com. I normaly don't like pay-by-post hosts, but this place is definetly an exeption. The packages arnt the best on the web, but so far the speed has been incredible, and their highest package should be enough for almost whatever you need, unless you've got some giant business or something. I dunno how their pay-for plans are, i'm using the free plans tongue.gif
The admins are also very quick as well. I just had to post my request, and a few hours later my application was accepted. At another pay-for host I visited before here, it took days before my account was accepted. I'm definetly happy so far, and I'm looking forward to becoming an active member here smile.gif

Trap17 provides the perfect webhosting for my blogging needs. With a touch of Cpanel and the easiness and simplicity of using the hosting, trap17 offers the best hosting at a low cost price: FREE.

With support of php, mysql, perl, cgi and more, trap17 offers UNLIMITED of each of the features found in cpanel. NO RESTRICTIONS ARE PUT IN THE FEATURES!!! The only minor restriction is the space and the bandwidth.

So, basically it is a Web Hosting, where your payment modes are other than cash. You help the free web hosting company by agreeing to serve their ads, popups, link etc. So in short, the company earns by placing advertisements on your site. When you are sick of these advertisements and want to remove them, they will make you pay a small amount on monthly basis to release you off your headache.. :-)

Why should I go for Free Web hosting?

Answer is quite simple, You do not want to pay for your small site.. ;-) Or If you have a site and would like to experiment with it and its success but do not want to start investing money right away then, these hosts are a better option.

Free webhosting is offered to users who demand features, but don't require 480 GB of space and 1030949GB of bandwidth (everyone)

In short, trap17 offers the most, for the least. Inexpensive, but never cheap.

Can I sum it up in one word? Spiffyness. I swear, I'm on the verge of starting a shrine to Trap17 in my room but that would be vaguely creepy. The cause for fervent idolatry? No forced banners (but I have some anyway), flexible FREE hosting, help when you need it, Cpanel, and so much more that I'm lapsing into a beautiful daydream about the wonders of Trap17. Thank you so much!

I came acroos Trap17 while I was looking for a host at some hosting review website. It has been about 5 months since.. There were a few others that were giving host with same space and bandwidth for posting in their forums, but the features offered by others are nothing compared to what Trap17 offers. mysql, php, ftp, fantastico... added to that : no banners, over 99% uptime...

At First I did not believe that someone wud give all that for free.. but when I got my package 1 approved, it was gr8, I had all control of my website and the servers are extremely fast....

Last but not the least.. the community here is very helpful and active. and well moderated. The topics are quite interesting and I am having gr8 time posting and reading the posts by the other members...

Thanks to Opaque and the admin and moderating team..

Cheers...

I first was introudced to trap17 by a mate who said I should try it for free web hosting. He said that they are really good and so long as you dont spam theres nothing wrong with posts.

So I joined and posted and when I got about 11 credits I decided I would try for hosted service. I put the form in exactly how they wanted it and everything and couldnt see any kind of spamming within my posts, thought I would be accepted...nop. I was rejected...oh well I will keep searching for the perfect host

Hi all:

The hosting sounds great! And I havent heard a single negative comment. Is there any downside to hosting here? Or is it all good?
