Well I am thinking about what have you said and you are right in many things. Well in fact you are right in almost all things you said however, you have to consider that starting buisness in busy place is also really expensive especially if you live in developed country and larger city then you might find that just buying office space will take you a lot but really a lot of money in the bare start and this will emidiately lower your credibility and lower your repay rate.

However as I might have already said you should concentrate on making your buisness online. Because of so many reasons why you can start with lower capital. If you don't know php mysql html css and other languages for programming your site then you can outsource all this work and gain nice web site for start of your buisness for lower price then to go to some develpement companuy. Also you can starteverything from your home. And this will prove usuful when in the end you obtain some money then you can expand. Also you work from home. Also if you are creative and you would like to sell some things on the internet then you can use e bay first and the biggest bee flee market on the internet. You send your products over mail fedex and so on and earn money easily as that. Good luck with your new business.

And I will repeat once more starting buisness online is lot easier then starting buisness in some town or city of course if you are not limited with capital then go for it. But I am certain that many people are limited with capital.

Good luck, if you get rich hopefully you will remember those who helped you wink.gif

Greetings,

What will help you in starting your own business is finding your niche. It is usually something you are already doing. It helps to take time and write out down everything you like doing, everything you want to do or accomplish. After you have made your list look at the top 3 to 4 things that you really, really want to do and focus on that. There are a lot of business opportunities out there, but you have to find the thing that grabs you. Whatever you are passionate about in life, that's your niche. Perhaps you have a concern for wellness; or for a healthy environment. Or you love jewelry and know how to wear it with what outfit.
What is your dream? What do you see yourself doing?

Then do your due diligence, check out the companies you are interested in. Do the research. There is a lot of information on the website about any business you want to find out about. Sometimes the very thing you may find yourself doing is something that is lacking in your life. For example, I didn't have any medical or dental after being laid off from work. Most of my friends did not have any or and adequate amount. I took a look at Ameriplan and found out this can help me and others I know. This is a problem solver. Not a huge investment to start.

Some investments to start are expensive. You have to make the decision of whether or not you want to make the investment. Whether you want to take a risk. But make sure you are passionate about whatever you choose.

CSS for literally anything. Or web designing. All you need to learn is HTML, PHP & CSS. (Possibly MySQL as well)
HTML is easy to learn. A few short lessons in it, and you'll work out the rest for yourself. There's plenty of help sites out there as well. http://webmonkey.com is a good one for beginners. CSS is quite easy to learn too. I learnt CSS by mucking around with Invision Power Boards. Just free boards from providers. I've never used PHP, nor MySQL. They look pretty complicated though..

Hello all
This is my first post to the forum. Interesting responses and all
very good. The idea of using hobbies to start a business is one
of the best and easiest imo. I have a friend who collects figurines
and have always bought them online and had them shipped to him.
After lots of people who have seen his collection grow and showing
interest in starting collecting, he mailed the distributer and started
importing them on a bigger scale to accommodate for the demand.
He now imports them to not just supply friends but also to the local
retail toy stores and the best part is,is that he is having FUN.
Do your due diligence with any business you are starting and most
importantly, you need to have a passion, fun and provide your clients
with added value with you business. If you are not adding value,
your clients will not be interested in anything else you have to offer.

Here are a few suggestions for Small Business Idea's. First, try doing some freelance work for various individuals, companies, non-profit organizations. Search Google for freelance websites where people bid for projects. Most projects include website programming. However, their are non-programming jobs such as Website Promotion, Research Task's, Freelance Writing. Another Small Business Opportunity includes doing some affiliate marketing. You could promote other companies products by using a website, blog, sales page, etc. I recommend using Commission Junction and/or an individuals affiliate program. You could also start a dropshipping business where you sign up with suppliers and resell products and make a profit from the difference. If you are more for an offline business, you could look into franchise opportunities. You could start your own VoIP company. Even Verizon Wireless a private white label program where you resell wireless phone service as your own brand and use their infrastructure.

Start off by seeing that you are good at and whats the direction of the market is. get some basic knowledge of what you want to do. Once that is settled then you could start off by starting up the business. you would finances, sponsors, tech expertise and prolly partners who you would want to work with. Thers are lots of this other than that. first you have to select what you want to work on. the major of the other stuff mostly depends on what you select.

Start off by looking at what services or products your local area lacks. What items do you have to travel a long distance to buy? What services are a long way from your home. Look at what you want in the local area, and its likely that a lot of other people want the same thing. If you can't see anything lacking in your local area, would you be prepared to set your business up in an area that needs it, and travel a longer distance to it each day?

Also, choose something you have a lot of knowledge in, and a passion for. It really shows if someone cares about what they are selling or doing. Your local Citizens' Advice Bureau should be able to provide all the legal details required to get your business off the ground, and good luck for the future biggrin.gif

Here is a site that gives you hints and many more. This is only for small business, though.
