That website has some very nice templates! Surely a website to remember. Seeing the templates are open source I could port them to website CMS systems like WebSpell biggrin.gif

thanks guys these are some wicked site also freewebtempaltes is good aslong as you dont mind crawling through hundreds of usless tenplates, although all the ones ive got are wicked and very good, but there is still the issue of the designers name on the bottom, i would preffer to buy a premium template than have someone elses name on my site,

this is just a personal matter though and nothing major, lol, anyways keep up the good posting, and once again thanks for the fantastic templates, wiked

I guess this is almost good enough to give places like TemplateMonster a run for their money!

If you signed up on the site to submit your own template, you'd see that it's pretty restrictive - no javascript, an upperlimit on the file size of the whole template, and so on. Given all that, these templates look very cool in all their simplicity.

Thanks for pointing this out - although I've been digging this resource for a while now, off my own accord, it's good to be reminded that it's still there.

As for inspiration, I still hop onto the webdesign and layout section of deviant art smile.gif

CSS is a very easy-to-use scripting language. Just take a look at one from your favorite site and you might see theres nothing much to it. I always create my own layouts using CSS and I can create layouts that fit my site better than any others: I made it personally for my site.

oswd.org is a great open source web design site. Another site that I'd say is equally as good is http://openwebdesign.org/

oswd has a lot of nice looking templates. In my opinion a lot of them are better than the paid templates. The fact that they are open sources makes it even better. Even if you aren't going to use a pre-made layout you can browse the templates for some ideas when designing your own. Very nice find.
