Have you ever overclocked your computer? if so how far did you go and what type of cooling did you use?

there was a company that would sell you a P4 that was clocked to 5. something Ghz, they used an air condition system that was built into the computer, crazy

I clocked my comp, but only by 20%.. from 2.0 to 2.6 GHz... and believe it or not, I use box cooler, that shipped with the original 2.0 cpu
As for eXtreme clocking... ir rulez! I just love this kind of things, i just wish I knew mora about hardware, so I could do some of that eXtreme stuff... |

I'm using overclocking ram, they come with little fans built on them so they stay cool.

I overclocked 700 Mhz to 800 Mhz with just 1 fan... The result, the motherboard was damaged! Can't read my two memory. And, when I open my pc, I hear a siren!

QUOTE(finaldesign @ Feb 5 2005, 07:02 PM) That's why I have learned my lesson! I will never ever ever overclock unless I have many coolers! |
