A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing. ![]() Group: [MODERATOR] Posts: 3,882 Joined: 24-July 05 From: In Trouble Again... still? Member No.: 9,787 ![]() |
I attempted to install a software pkg. Part of the install process required an upgrade to this dll, so I accepted the new dll. The install fails to function, however, and this dll seems to be messing up a bunch of other software on the Laptop.
So the question is : How do I revert back to the old OLEAUT32.DLL??? System is Windows 98se on a compaq 1230 |

Did a Google on the dll name. Found an older one. Downloaded it, unzipped, stashed into c:/windows/system. Re-boot. Looks good. All seems to work. Topic closed.
