Trap17 offers subdomain hosting and you can bring your domain along with you. The two nameservers are ns1.trap17.com and ns2.trap17.com. There are ip addresses too, but I've forgotten them.

IP 69.50.188.19 is incorrect. That's the nameserver IP for totally different place (different company). Please refrain from passing out incorrect information.
The correct nameserver IP addresses are: ns1.trap17.com 64.5.44.113 ns2.trap17.com 209.152.167.59 Please ignore 69.50.188.18 for this is the location of server that hosts your files. This is probably due to purchasing of a private name server for TRAP17 and hosting it somewhere else. If I'm wrong, OpaQue will correct this message. Thank you for your question. I will close this thread if there are no more replies. |

well BuffaloHELP!
I think the information i've given is correct because my domain provider asks for IP address and I've put this information only and it works fine for me and if you doubt then go on my website which is www.mayankgupta.com and you'll find that it is working absolutely fine.....because it was resolved by my domain provider absolutly without any problems. so if it is working for me then it will work for others as well. so i've not provided any wrong information...what do you have to say???? |

QUOTE(mayank @ Sep 6 2005, 03:57 PM) Well if you challenge me like that you better know what you are talking about. It's working for your site because you're lucky that your DNS is using only the ns1.trap17.com or in your case 69.50.188.18. If you go to http://www.dnsstuff.com and do the reverse DNS lookup, you'll find that IP 69.50.188.19 (what you claim it as ns2.trap17.com) is actually for ns2.psychz.net. To confirm the nameserver IP address, go to http://www.dnsreport.com/ and type in trap17.com in DNS report box. You'll find in the next page what I have said earlier. You're very lucky that OpaQue has set to redirect hosting IP to nameserver. Otherwise you would have never made the proper connection. When you do your domain name on DNS report I bet you'll never get ns1 and ns2 of trap (because you're using the wrong IP for ns2). Confirm me on this. Edit: lol I just checked your site using DNS report and guess what? I was right. See for yourself http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.c...ayankgupta.com+ You should remove 69.50.188.19 as soon as possible for it is not Trap17's nameserver IP. Okay?
