I'm planning to add another domain for my site. But i dont' want it to redirect to the main page of my server. Is it possible to make it redirect that domain to a certain page on your server?
Also, will the domain stays the same in the address bar or does it go back to whatever the orignal domain (the one you registered with cpanel). For example: -I have a www.hellohello.be domain. as the main one -Want to add a www.autoshop.com domain that redirect to a different page on the server So when i type in www.autoshop.com and it takes me to whichever page i setted it to redirect, (assuming that it worked). will the address in the address bar change to the www.hellohello.be domain? I have this question because when i changed my trap17 hosting domain. I didn't know, so i put www.hellohello.be. So now my website url is www.www.hellohello.be. It doesnt' show on my forum because i set the forum to use the hellohello.be address. But if i were to go to my extention html page. for example. www.hellohello.be/site the address in the address bar changed into www.www.hellohello.be/site. blah. .sorry if i made it sounded really confusing =P |

For parked domains, I believe you can only have them pointed at the index page which your first domain is pointed to. But addon domains would work for what you want to do. You would have it point to your main directory where all your files are, then go back to the addon domain page and click setup redirection for that domain. Then you can have it point to wherever you want it to go.
For if the name in the address bar will change, as long as you purchased a domain with the capability of masking, then it will stay as the domain you entered into the address bar, but if that feature is not enabled, it will go to your other one. I hope it helps, let me know if you need anymore help or clarifications xJedix |
