Unfortunately, more skins would mean taking up more space and bandwidth, meaning less BW and space for hosted members. Also, it would be more difficult to determine the amount of lines in a post because different skins have different fonts, widths etc. Although it is a good idea, it is not nessesary. However, I don't disagree with this idea. It sounds good.

Trap17 used to have a stylish silver skin, but it was slow loaing and slowed down the forums, it also messed up alot of mods and stuff... I advise them maybe adding one but not setting it a default, letting the user choose the skin.

You may have noticed that there is a new mod, posts bellow 300 characters are not counted, this makes it easier to check that a user has made ther ight ammount of GOOD posts... smile.gif

Is there a more simple skin, for example, a white one with the most minimal things so that it makes the forum load faster because the forums are loading really slow for me, even if I'm usinig a quite speedy internet service! So it would be helpful if you guys made one with white everything smile.gif Thanks!

Yes we may look into more skins further on, but alot of people don't realise how seriously moded trap17 is. The only trouble is having to do all the skin edits and installations for each new skin, which will take a bit of time that could be used instead helping members and contributing to the forums. If we do install a new skin it will be an optional skin and the ipb default skin (this current blue skin) will stay default. Users will be able to change the skin they would like by selecting with the skin selector (bottom left of the forums).

Thankyou smile.gif

yah but yo know that it's not really teh skin it's all the mods... and thats why i hate it because i mean come one whats teh point if you want people to stay make it fun or some thing and you see how they have this with all the mods like the three hundered post thing it just slows the forum down and i saqy it's the shout box that does it mostly and look at the top at alll those games and member map and what not up there all mods to slow down i say take things off that like no one uses.

and that may help and new skins don't take to much space up... do they... unsure.gif lol
