Well, I've recently come across Flash MX. Anyone good at Flash? I've started learning and I wonder how Flash animators draw those complex shapes and add voice overs. Does anyone have any good flash tutorials around or can teach me a few things? You can IM me at Magic1992 through AIM.

Thanks.

There are many tutorials available all over the Internet, but two of the best sites are Pixel2Life and Tutorialized. You could also have a look around WikiBooks and see if there is anything there.

I am so glad tha t I nopticed this thread... my dad just recently bought Flash MX 2004 cheap for his work and I would like to learn how to use it. Seems pretty complicated with all those functions and layers and what have you.
Those tutorials are pretty good . . . soon I hope to be able to actually do something in it and spice up my website a bit. I am currently tyrying to teach myself all about CSS / html / java etc. and these flash tutorials should add to my knowledge bank well for the better!
Thanks for linking to those smile.gifsmile.gif

Ah. Macromedia Flash MX! We have all the Macromedia products on our MAC's (Dreamweaver,Flash,Fireworks,Freehand)

Flash is a tricky program, but fiddle around with it and you should come across a few handy things. I had a problem like this before also, so I was playing about with Fireworks and Flash, and came up with a little Flash cartoon.
The problem i had was making a character!
But doing the mouth moving with the voice for me, is easier with fireworks

Mx is good but I use swish 3d and 3d flash animator (almost dead)they where alot less difficult to learn to use. www.3dfa.com and google swish if u want it both range only 50$ i got it for free educational reasons and the company gave it away. www.flashkit.com is a nice place to get a boost on learning flash.

i tottaly agree about swish. All my sites are designed in swish, i don't know if i can post urls to hear your opinions about my attempts huh.gif
It's a very easy to use program, but it doesn't offer flash's capabilities, which is the only (?) solution if you want to make animation movies.
