I composed this list of free hosting sites. This can be used as a referance.
http://geocities.yahoo.com/ http://members.freewebs.com/ http://members.freewebs.com/ http://www.tripod.lycos.com/ http://free.prohosting.com/ http://www.50megs.com/ http://www.freewebspace.net/ http://www.doteasy.com/ http://www.9k.com/ http://www.bravenet.com/ http://www.cjb.net/ Also a directory of free WebHosting sites http://www.free-webhosts.com/ I will update this every so often. ------------- halo2krew, I removed the code tags so the URLs will show up as URLs, and I changed the spelling of 2 words. You're not in trouble. Don't worry. This post has been edited by snlildude87: Mar 19 2005, 05:37 PM |

I've used several of them:
Geocities: I don't like it because it places millions of ads on your site Prohosting: I don't remember it placing ads, but it lacks cPanel Tripod: Ads Doteasy: Never got that to work Bravenet: ads 50megs: ads I've also used the CJB service to shorten the URL of my site, and I'll go back to that when my .info domain expires in September. |

ProHosting places ads, and quite a few links on your page. It's pretty annoying. They didn't do it at first, but they ended up placing an ad, and more annoying links.
Anyway, I've only tried a few of those: Geocities, Prohosting, and Tripod. Nice list, though. I'm staying with Trap17 for a while, though. |

Out of all those i mostly tried them all. They all suck if you ask me. So thats why i stick with Trap17 its the most reliable one. I can atleast trust it wont die out or something. I mean this place has been on for a long time ive been one of the top 100 to sign up and use it. So i know how long its been up. Its great survice and stuff so it would be the best to count on. Thats if anybody would listen to advice these days.

Geocities: I do not like it because its file size limit is 5 mb - but it is good
Tripod: I hate its ads! 50megs: ads ads ads! - This is the only disadvantage but it is really good in fact. I have not used the other ones. |
